Three little shoeboxes. Jack Frost as close to the germ plate as possible. These things are pretty damn stable. Going to clone a few clusters. Thanks again 3A.M.

Happy little mushrooms And the second cake is in there growing too. I took y'all's advice and started a journal.
This is Pink buffalo from a lc syringe, (no vendor name here!) so not anything like a "clean" strain, but I'm still very excited because this is my first attempt. They really grow fast once they pin!

Did 18lbs of oats today, prepping them in the brewers bag was a breeze I’m hoping they dry out a bit as they cool and sit over the next few days, I think they will. By any means, happy to get back into the swing with bags while I wait for my jar real estate to free up. 6 3lb bags fit perfect in my presto, that was nice, I worried for a moment they wouldn’t

Got a writeup up this process?

Documenting in my journal, just using Eat’s oat prep but if you want more words, journal 🫡

The classic ESS octopus cap with no gills.

I was super annoyed with this culture at first cuz it was all half grown aborts until the third flush. However aside from the pain in the ass harvesting process they ended up putting out over 130g dried and the potency is ridiculous.

Friggin' Sidepins!!!

:megacrankey:

*sigh* I need better small batch containers that don't flex and create air gaps when you move them...

And I compressed the shit out of the substrate, fml... welp, that's what I get for being too cheap with equipment selection

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages; please welcome my very first mushroom, a 13 gram pink buffalo bad boy grown with PF tek, courtesy of this wonderful website and several lovely people who have taken it upon themselves to give me a heads up at  very critical points in my journey. Can I put him in the dehydrator whole or do I need to slice him up?

Congratulations! You have to boof your first shroom! :boofbanana:

If you dry it whole it will take a bit longer but it can be done. I prefer to split them in half if they are thick and dense, if not they go whole for at least 24hrs @ 150-165f. If you don't have a temp seeing full blast works for most dehydrators.
