Use an electric turkey knife, or scissors.

Screw the part that's in the sub. That's bum stuff, like the wine scum at the bottom of the vat that the Mogen David Wine company fortifies then sells to bums as Mad Dog 20/20.

Fillet those shrooms, then FLIP THE SUB. Just flip it into a new tub with a liner. If it breaks, fine, push it together.

Sprinkle some fine or medium verm on new top (which was the old bottom) as pseudo-casing, water the fuck out of the top, and your next flush will start soon.

I've done this many times.

Pic tax, active filet-removed part I toss out when I actually pull shrooms out. Contains crunchy verm and coir and yuck. That's for sketchy "dealer shrooms", not for the connoisseur stuff we make.

Well, out of 8 PF cakes I got zero contam. But , only one cake birthed.  After several failures, I’ve decided my LC syringes must have been “not that great”.  I had zero success with Jack Frost and the one cake that’s good is hillbilly.

I’m just happy to get a couple.  If any of these look good when they’re grown I’ll clone them in agar and start again. Otherwise, I’ll look into getting some samples from the forums here  or trying a different vendor.
