So my first mutant tub is putting out more wavy conchs this second flush. TBH I didn't harvest all of the fuzzy blobs, many of these were from flush 1. I considered it, but then I saw the pinning on them.



Look at this lil bud



Maybe the ones at the bottom are now a bit waterlogged. I hydrated with 2 cups.

What are your recommendations on harvesting this. Should I just wait and see if the pinset takes? Whats the Enigma protocol?

That sucks ass, 3AM. What do you mean with non-viable dead or contaminated?
I use pint jars as masters for G2G, and I've been just closing the jars, in the SAB, after the transfer and keeping the leftover grain inside to dry out for a month or 2, while shaking - when I remember - and then transfer to ziplock baggies, been using and sending to folks with good results.

Perhaps keeping them in the cryovial prevents them from completely drying out? This was an unexpected happenstance. I tossed the dried grain in the cryovial just as an afterthought when starting my frozen mycelium experiment. So far this is the obly one thatโ€™s come back to life. I still have vials of dried grain waiting to be opened at 1, 2, and 3 years. Weโ€™ll see how well this can work.
