Mike Hawck's LAGM2022
I've been a little indecisive on what to grow, but this is the final list:
Panaeolus Cyanescens "Wild Coast" Psilocybe Cubensis "Gandalf" and "Volusia FL"
1/1 5 plates for each have been poured(plus some plates for my ongoing projects), poured them kind of late so I'll just let them rest until morning and inoculate them then.

1/2 Plates have been streaked/swabbed, and now for the hard part... Waiting.
1/5 Germination on the Pan Cyans! Nothing on the Volusia FL and Gandalf though.
1/6 I spotted germination on the Gandalf and Volusia FL! I'll be transferring everything together in a few days once the plates grow out a bit.
1/9 Already getting lazy... Did T1 transfers on the 9th, but I'm updating this the next day. Took transfers from these plates.

Oh guys I said be gentle with me. I am in Oceania, sounds so exotic doesn't it, and also sufficiently vague.
Come on smart you made the APE Globe, you should know how this works man, I'm on the opposite side of the APE. There was no stipulation on agreed universal time, just rules based on our arbitrary earthly time-zones, the clock struck 12 and I got to work. I guess I was not premature but right on time and first to inoculation. I did foresee getting a head start from the advantage of living in the future compared to most everyone else here leading to some potential butthurt, so I put timestamps in my OP. Seems nobody cared to look
If it makes you all feel any better I'm planning to start my Cubensis grows on New Years Day your time T-Minus 10hrs.

2 minutes past midnight here. Still time to jump on this train?
I have some p. Cubensis Penis Envy, p. Tampanensis pollock, galindoi, and jalisco and will take another run at Semperviva.
Reverend Myc Grows some stuff (hopefully)Species: Cubensis Var: Penis Envy (from my first attempts at swabs) Species: Tampanensis Var: Pollock (from my first attempt at prints) & Galindoi Species: Mexicana Var: Jalisco Species: Subtropicales (aka Semperviva) This will be my first spore to fruit runs since getting an FFU from my lovely wife for my birthday. So I am looking forward to spending time in the flow and nice clean results. It is so much more pleasant working outside of the SAB. Don't get me wrong, I got results in a SAB. It is just less strenuous, less tedious and easier to see what you are doing in the flow. I also won't miss bumping the walls and arm holes. ********************************************************** 2022-01-01 Got some of each set of spores to 3 or 4 plates each, because two is really one and one is really none.

********************************************************** 2022-01-03 Tamps-Pollock are showing some germination of something. Everything else is still quiet. Nothing picture worthy yet, though.
********************************************************** 2022-01-07 Tamps-Pollock are still the only signs of life so far. Maybe something too small to confirm on a couple of the others. Time will tell.
Using the Camera+ 2 app on my iPhone in macro and manual focus setting in a cheap lightbox. Still not happy with the pix, though.

These are from my first try at spore prints so I was afraid to share until I had a chance to test them. I didn't want to send out a bunch of dirty crap if I had messed it up. But now I think I am comfortable posting them in the marketplace now.
********************************************************** 2022-01-12 Did T1 transfers from two of the Tamp-Pollock plates and one of the two PE swab dunk plates that started to germinate.

No germination from the rest yet. If I don't get any movement in a few more days, I will make a fresh softer batch of agar and start some new germ plates next week.
********************************************************** 2022-01-20 Did t2 transfers from the PE and Tamps

and made a fresh batch of softer agar with some charcoal to retry germination of the Semperviva, Galindoi and Jalisco

********************************************************** 2022-01-28 Did t3 transfers from PE and Tamps. Still no action on the others so I am trying a couple of things. I placed a drop of water on the densest spore collections on both sets of plates. I also tossed the stubborn spore prints in the freezer and will try another set of germ plates from those in a couple of days. Got the idea from something that Adas is investigating over here https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/27586017 . ********************************************************** 2022-02-10 Not much to update. Tamp is about ready to go to grain. It looks great on agar. PE looks weak and suspect on agar but may go to grain to confirm it sucks. Need to get some pictures tonight. And I can't get the galindoi, jalisco or semperviva to germinate. I tried fresh softer agar, freezing spores, and will try a sterile water spore soak next. I am determined to find out if the spores can be saved or not. ********************************************************** 2022-02-11 Got wheat in the PC for the first time right now.
Never done wheat before. Using Dawgy style tek. I found this wheat at the local grocery bulk store. It is food grade so it was super clean, but more expensive than the feed grade. Still, $12.99 for 15 pounds won't kill me to try something other than oats.
Going to put these Tamps to jars.

These PE need at least one more transfer, but I may split 742 into a couple of jars after taking a transfer.
I just hate how they look. My PE has always been strong and ropy before this.
********************************************************** 2022-02-13 Got some stuff done Friday and Sunday. I put tamps and ugly PE wedges to wheat jars on Friday. I also made syringes out of the Jalisco, Gandoloi and Semperviva prints in the hope of reviving those stubborn spores.
On Sunday I found that one of the PE germination plates had a bit of healthy looking rhizo near one edge of the plate, away from what looks like I don't know what on the other half of the plate. So I took a couple of transfers. Seeing this growth makes me pretty sure that the "PE" jars that got inoculated on Friday are just some slow growing mold. But we will see what we see.
I also used the 48 hour old syringes that I made Friday to knock up some germination plates on Sunday. I still have plenty of spore solution left if they need longer to hydrate.

********************************************************** 2022-02-15 Some wheat vs oat races going on.
Tamps on the left and PE on the right. Four days since inoculation.
********************************************************** 2022-02-21
I like how the Tamps are looking in the first picture, but I hate the PE's progress. I will give them both a shake, but unless the PE come back really strong, I will abandon them.

I like the PE on these plates a little better than what went into the jars above. And the semperviva is finally looking good. I will give these another transfer and start some new grain jars.

********************************************************** 2022-03-07
Time to face the fact that they Jalisco and Galindoi are not going to germinate.
Did some transfers of PE and Semperviva and sent the rest to grain.

********************************************************** 2022-03-08 Sent the two tamp jars on the left to sub in 1 cup and 1/2 cup zip lok twist n loc jars. That are in a sort of JCM Pan style chamber. To be fair, the second jar is not LAGM 2.022, but LAGM 2021. Thought it would be fun to run them side by side to compare. The other two are PE but not part of LAGM at all.

In the chamber. I figure I will give them a few days and then take off the individual lids.

********************************************************** 2022-03-10 Three day old PE and Semp jars.

********************************************************** 2022-03-16 I am loving wheat. These are the best looking jars I have run to date.

Semperviva/subtropicalis(left) and PE(right). Both trying to teach me some patience, but about ready for a shake.
********************************************************** 2022-03-17 Took the lids off of half of them and plan to wait for more colonization to take off the rest.
Left to right: PE on oats; PE on wheat; Tamps on oats; Tamps on wheat
********************************************************** 2022-03-23 Pins!

********************************************************** 2022-03-31
Moved both of the Tamps from the TNT tubs to a more JCM style tub. The year old oats in the back are doing as well as the fresh wheat jars in the front.
********************************************************** 2022-05-03 I have not been keeping up with my logs. I did a bunch of different things but it started getting too hot so I had to pull the plug on most. I got some stones from the Tamps.

And I started a couple of new small tubs with Tamps and PE. I am determined to get these damn Semp figured out, too.
********************************************************** 2022-05-10 Finally got some tamps fruiting decently. I have been all over the place with experiments, but went back to basics and surprise, surprise that is working best.

I also have some progress on that PE tub and started another tamp and finally ready for another Semp/Subtrop tub.

I also tried the semps and some PE in FahtLoc bags, but so far all I got is a big blob in one PE that I forgot to take a picture of.
********************************************************** 2022-05-13 Story time!
Oops!
PE with some really old coir that was sitting in a tub in my garage for several months and I didn't like the smell but was too lazy to make fresh. Don't take shortcuts, kids. Isolated the tub and will toss it next week. It is too hot and dry here to expect anything from an outdoor grow.
But I can't entirely blame the old coir:
because this tamp tub was spawned to the same sub on the same day. So the old sub favors the fast a bit, or I just fucked up that PE jar and missed it.
Speaking of fucked up PE.
These Fahtloc bags are too smart for me, but that is all on me and not the TEK. I was pretty sloppy putting these together and also used that really old coir.
Plus, I am looking forward to eating that there fist sized blob.
And I started another Tamp and a Semp tub on 10 May with fresh CV and they are both showing early promise. With a ratio of myco quart 1:2 heaping quarts CV with thin top layers of CV for each.
Myc is peaking through in 2.5 days so I am hopeful. I WILL get some effing semps yet!
********************************************************** 2022-05-17 Got home late after 4 days of neglect to these:
Will do some harvesting and weighing tonight. I am looking forward to weighing that blob. I think I am scared to eat it now.
********************************************************** 2022-05-18 Left the Blob because it is still growing.
Tamps jar 777
Happy with this one for weight. Got 1.5 dry oz for 1 myco quart. Needed more air to prevent the tiny caps and no prints, but I have a plan for the next one.
Here is the next one and some Semps colonizing nicely, I hope. Plan to case these with a 1/4 inch of Jiffy seed starter tonight using a tiny layer of sand first on half of each to see if that makes any difference.

********************************************************** 2022-05-19
Blobby.
I kind of wanted to take a big bite like Snow White's apple, but I am a pussy.
Other PE from those two Fahtlocs

********************************************************** 2022-05-23
 Blobby dry weight.
The semp and tamp with thin layer of sand on half. Nothing on the semp so far, but the half without the sand has the lead on the Tamps.
********************************************************** 2022-05-31 Little behind on updates again, so here is some previously undocumented stuff that has happened with LAGM 2.022 projects.
PE tub never fruited and tamed out. Dumped the sub and added another Semp tub.

Tried a little experiment I mentioned above with a thin layer of sand before a thin layer of Jiffy seed mix casing on Semps and Tamps. They are both colonizing the unsanded casing faster, but it looks like the Tamps are pinning better in the sanded half so far. Semps are still taking their time deciding.

Also started some Semp Cookie jars.

Hell yes! I'm running those same strains, Gandalf and PE. I hope to learn some shit from you!

Sorry for the terrible lighting! My kids had some friends over and I had to hole up away from my usual brighter setup.

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all stayed safe and had a fun night. I'm surprisingly not too hungover today because I held myself to a 6 pack (progress, not perfection is my manta for 2022) but I didn't win the dominoes tournament so there goes my flowhood fund for this season...
We're waiting on a storm to start dumping snow on us any time now so it seems like a perfect day to be putting Jack Frost to agar
There were quite a few people wanting to get in on this late last night so I will get you edited in to the OP later today - I figure I haven't started my own agar yet so I'll give you at least that long before I close the doors lol.
All the updates are looking awesome guys, keep it up!
