My hope is that letting go of the weed will also help the pain because I'll be more inclined to work out and get back in shape. The pain is generally w lot more manageable when I'm not sitting on my ass smoking weed all day.


I had to quit weed due to chronic pain (also lack of motivation and sleep) and it obviously depends on the cause but only way I keep it in check is working out every. fucking. morning. which sucks balls but I wouldn’t be able to manage it with weed, also sleep way better with exercise and no weed than I ever did before, hopefully you get the same results man.

I quit weed in August and my chronic pain has improved. Moving around more, finally sleeping normally again.
I won't be going back this time.

Well, I've made it to early evening!

I confess, I almost went and bought edibles.  Telling myself, it's the 'smoke' that's the issue.

Cooler heads prevailed, and I asked my gf if she would help distract me for a while.

Energy level is already improving.  Even with terrible sleep!

I appreciate everyone sharing your experiences with letting it go.  It's helping me to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

So if you don’t mind me asking, is regular use CAUSING chronic pain? Or is preexisting pain being exacerbated by regular use?

What all negative effects are you guys experiencing from smoking daily?

Definately a son of a bitch moment lol, been trying to use up the rest of these old bags i have. Havent been super impressed with them but this was the first time thats happened, maybe it touched the side while in the pc or was to close :shrug:

Pre-existing condition being aggravated by long term daily use.

Negative effects for me have been much less mindfulness (I get caught in excitement and run around until I'm totally exhausted and end up crashing for day).

Not being able to sleep without weed.  But, then not dreaming and not wanting to sleep because I'm caught in the excitement cycle.

Not feeling motivated to exercise.  Which is one way it's aggravating my pain symptoms.  I'm getting more and more out of shape.

Lack of energy.  Basically as above, but applied to my whole life.

Spending money on it that could be going to mushroom projects.

Poor communication with my gf because I'm stoned or was stoned when something came up, and now it's forgotten about.

There's plenty more, I'm sure.

And there are good things about it too, don't get me wrong.  I've just hit a point I need to let it go because the relationship isn't working out.

Lol, I’ve got severe injuries, quit weed years before the injuries, started afterwards to deal with the pain, no motivation to do what’s required to cope, slept worse, more depressed, didn’t really help with the pain and definitely didn’t help the symptoms.
Personally way better without it👍

On the bright side, I only slept four hours again... so at least I caught it quickly
