Vibration from my ffu caused a stack of glass plate to topple and some to break before they were poured. Packed the rest up. I am done with glass plates. Sure, I could blame the slightly out of balance Chinese ffu fan. But I have gone through a lot of broken glass other ways as well. Shipping, cleaning, dropping, etc. The cheap ones break too easy and are often slightly misshapen so they don't stack as well and the higher quality ones are just too expensive for the amount that I use and still more of a pita to work with compared with disposable petri plates. Oh, and my clumsy ass can break them, too.

Working on a new clear plastic reusable autoclavable plate process now. Will share what I learn if it goes well. They are tiny but they make my hands look Yuge!:eyebrow:

I love those plates!

I have the 90's and I confess I have put them through the PC and the oven with no problems at all. Thought a few warped, but I swapped the lids and they are fine.

Aww, thanks bro. I actually like the guy too. It's a good thing. But yeah, plenty of stress and hate and money and the ex. Thanks again Mr P.

Agreed. Now to go cry in this corner.
Did I mention that I'm making all the beer, and just did a taste test and 10 of 25 gallons somehow taste a little bacterial? My solution tonight is to do some dry hopping and hopefully fix it. Maybe I should top fruit!?

theres no wrong kind of confession brother.

were in the same boat im afraid and i dont think i have any answers.  only anecdotal experiences.  i feel like heroin left my nervous system kindof stretched out or something.  like socks that are too big.  other drugs just dont really get me where i want to be.  a two year stint with ketamine was somwhow the only way ive found any peace but it nearly cost me my life and sanity. not to mention my girlfriend and friends.

i also keep a certain level of kratom in my system.  tripping seems like a chore.  its true i usually feel better like the next day but the anxiety of it has me thinking about ketamine.

I'm honestly kinda envious of people whose thing is heroin or something else scheduled.  My true love is alcohol.  I can't even begin to tell you how much I fucking love alcohol.  It immediately solves most of my problems (profound autism along with CPTSD and social anxiety disorder), and it's on half the shelves of every store or restaurant I walk in to.  It's been seven and a half years since my last drink, and my pupils still dilate when I smell beer or whisky (but only single malt Irish rye aged in oak)

Fuck addiction, why didn't the human suit come complete in the first place?

Edit:  this is not at all to say you have a lesser struggle in any way!

addiction is rough.  ive seen alcohol absolutely destroy peoples lives.  ive known people who smoked themselves to death bc they just couldnt curb it.  i know people that absolutely come undone if they try to get away from weed.

i do not envy any addict.  who i envy is people who had stable households growing up and dont seem to have any cognizance of what mental illness is like.
i remember even two years after my divorce (of being married 9 years) i just couldnt sleep alone and took to sleeping with inanimate objects.  a large plastic cup occupied the half of my bed for like 9 months before i finally even realized how strange it was.  I still sleep on "my side" of the bed after 8 years.

i dont ever seem to just feel "normal" or even remember what that felt like.  when people ask how i am i usually have a boilerplate answer like "awesome" or "better every second" or some other compulsory bullshit answer because I just dont want to be caught complaining.  Truth is, I only feel "regular" when im on ketamine or opioids.

it is what it is.

Just because it’s the most used drug. Does not mean that it is a good thing so thats why it’s everywhere. It is one of the worst compounds humans ever consumed.
Just stay strong and remember that the negatives far outweigh the benefits.

I grew up in an alcoholic family. Grandparents divorced over it after much horrible abuse still real for their kids. Those kids went on to be excellent alcoholics. 1 uncle froze to death passing out drunk on ny eve. 1 uncle blacked out at the wheel, killed someone on the sidewalk, went to prison for a couple years. Still hasn't drank since. Last uncle used to drag me out bed to come watch him kick out passing windshields at 3am. Mom was the worst. Might be due to being kidnapped by a biker gang after she had me at 15. She sent me to rehab as soon as she senses alcohol on me at 14.
Either way, we all have a path to walk.

Ps you don't even wanna hear my sad dad story, never met him.

Me too.

Got drunk this afternoon.  Just waking up. Think my gf and I are splitting up. Neither of us are getting our needs met by the relationship.

We sleep in separate beds so ar least I don't have to miss that.  I remember similar feelings during my divorce though.

This hits home.

I was genetically engineered to become an addict due lineage and childhood trauma drilled it in on top.

At the time I didn't know why I was so shit at school and had to keep getting pulled out of class to meet with the school therapist. Hindsight is 2020

To this day I have a chip on my shoulder for those that had seemingly tame familial issues growing up

I got close. Had an A- (read basically best case scenario) childhood with both parents and no money problems ever.

Chronic depression ate me alive as a person until about 29 when I started microdosing.

God kept perfection from me because he knew I’d be too powerful.

I think many of us are suffering, i am only glad that my suffering has brought me to where i am now. If not for such suffering i would probably not have sought cultivation advice, nor would i have gotten to learn from all of the wonderful people on this website. I certainly am not here to judge and am so happy that you all can create such a safe place that we can be so honest with each other. The Shroomery is not only an amazing catalog of important information but an honest place, hopefully everyone can find their peace, it might not always come from where we expect to find it.

:whathesaid: except I’d go for the dick.
I confess I was tired and lazy and thought I’d try doing some large no prep millet bags, unfortunately didn’t accurately estimate how much they’d expand, my pc lid requires pushing into the pc and twisting to lift out so after 15 minutes of banging it in with my hand and putting my whole body weight into pushing it down I finally got the lid off only to eventually have to pour out one of the 3 grain bags to make enough room to wiggle the others out.
In good news, none of them burst 👍
