It is of little importance to me

Then why would you suggest that him clarifying the issue would be a "good start?"

Who is the "him" you are referring to?

I assume you meant Joe Biden.

I referred to both Hunter and Joe on various occasions.

It is of little importance to me whether Hunter told the foreign players that they can buy Joe's ear by paying Hunter. It is of little importance to me if he consumated the deal and held onto the share allocated for Joe. These details are important for the story of Hunter's operation and hopefully will get aired at some point but he is not on the ballot.

What matters to me is whether Joe knew that Hunter sold this story to his clients. Here are a few reasons:

The future president of the US will have to deal with China's expansion - economical, political and military - so in my world it is relevant if he had knowingly entered into a dodgy pay-for-play arrangement with Chinese interests (who ultimately do what CCP tell them to). From that perspective I would prefer a president who does not have this liability to his name.

Joe had multiple opportunities to deny he knew about the deals and did not take them. If he indeed knew what Hunter was up to I would consider his PR effort (including the non-denial denial by his campaign and dodging the direct question during the last debate) dishonest. You stated here that you would not so this may be why our perspectives differ.

Joe has lost one son and, as a parent, I understand that his human impulse will be to protect Hunter. Hunter's story is so ugly that both the Ukrainians (and, by extension, Russians) and Chinese probably have more compomising videos as well as correspondence with the transactional part of the deals. This material can be used to blackmail Joe.

Every President is vulnerable to blackmail related to family.  That's a real stretch.  I don't see anything "dodgy" at all about the business proposition, though.  It sounds like it was all about introductions.

Hunter Biden - Offered money for access to his father's political influence
Ivanka Trump - Protecting her brand with trademark applications in China so other companies there don't use them

Can anyone please explain why we should be concerned about the second item (because I'm not getting it)?

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

What's wrong with getting paid by foreign countries to influence US policy?  Is that your question?

Yeah, what is wrong with that?  It's perfectly legal for a lobbyist to work for foreign countries.  I don't see any reason why Hunter or Joe Biden wouldn't be able to do it when neither are in office.

They weren't being invaded by Russia, my dude.  They were fighting a civil war in East Ukraine.

Did you know Joe Biden was running for president?  I ask because you said "Who is 'Mr. Orange Man?'"

Putting Crimea aside (for now), what land has Russia invaded and stolen since WWII?  Maybe you can be the first person here to correctly answer that question?

"Jackass"?  Does that mean you think you just won the argument?  Well you're a big fat poo poo head.  Do you think I just won the argument using your own logic?  (I don't think so)

That was pre WWII.  I'll ask my question again - what land has Russia invaded and stolen since WWII?

A little background for you.  I believed the US Government when they told me Russia invaded Ukraine, but my Russian friends told me it was bullshit.  So who should I believe?  NO ONE.

I went to Crimea to find out for myself (my links to some beautiful pictures broke, so I'll try to fix that soon).  EDIT:  PHOTOS FIXED

You should at least read the first post I just linked to, and this post.

And if you're still interested, you can read more about my experience talking with members of the 5% who wanted Crimea to stay with Ukraine here.

If nothing else, tell me what land Russia has invaded and stolen since WWII?
