I realise Trump has increasing incentive to stay President despite how much he sucks at it. Not only is he enriching his family business/himself but he benefits from immunity, right?

He's used the office of the President to promote his daughter's products.  he's doubled the membership fees at mar-a-lago since assuming the office.

Well there's alot we have to go on on the basis of belief. I would be happy to see evidence that those revenues are going back to the federal government. Who cares if he has said this or that, surely that means we go on belief of his word..?

What about the sweet heart deal Kushner got from the Chinese Insurance company?
What about the free advertising, and access for his kids and their businesses?
What about the Dakota Access Pipeline?

You think all the ways he can benefit will be even be possible to pay back? Or that even all the strictly financial benefits will be fully accounted for?

There are a conflicts of interests on a level we don't even know fully yet, there are multiple ways he can give advantages to those around him. And for other players in the world they can gain access by enriching him indirectly - by enriching his family.

Trump didn't need to become US President to live a rich lifestyle, he did it to satisfy his massive ego and he already regrets it.

Could there be some potential financial benefits as a result?  Maybe, but that does NOT mean it was his true motivation.

I didn't say it was his true motivation. As I said, there are more benefits than financial. There are many factors at play as you point out..

Great argument.

Every President gets free publicity. They even cut right into paid programming to deliver speeches. The President's job is to address the people. Look at most Presidents. They come in office poor, they exit the office with maybe a million or 2. They write a book they become best-sellers, then they go 500k speeches until they're all worth hundreds of millions. Even vice presidents can do it. Look at Al Gore. The guy is halfway to being a billionare.

Trump simply did all of those things before being President.

At some point you got realize the obvious here. Every President of any country is the most well known celebrity of the country.... If that's not pure common sense at this point, I don't know what to tell you people...

Let's take Obama's number

2007: 1.3 million net worth

Salary through 8 years at 400k = 3.2 million

Net worth 2016: 12.2 million  depending where you take the info/

I'll bet 100$ with anyone right now saying that 5 years from now he's got minimum 50 million in the bank guaranteed.

No one has said he gets benefits other presidents don't get.  Every president is richer when he leaves office than he was when he went in.
