'Murica deserves Trump.  I mean, I won't vote for his scurvy ass but I don't even think he's the biggest threat to progress in this election.  As bad as he is, the other demented rapist already promised that nothing would fundamentally change and neither would anyone's standard of living.  At least with Trump there's always the hope that he fucks things up bad enough for people to fucking learn for once.  Probably not, but a man can dream, can't he?

Eventually i'm going to crash my car and will then have to fix it.
Why wait? the sooner I crash the sooner I can get it done!

When we believe we are so powerless that we cannot stop an oncoming man made disaster and we actually wish its expediency to sooner rebuild the mess....Not only are we fucked be we are most likely also quite close.

Must be nice to be so privileged you aren’t concerned that you’ll be one of the people who doesn’t get fucked over by his incompetence. Maybe if people suffer harder they’ll learn their lesson and vote for the candidate you prefer next time. Sociopathic logic by any standard.

He said we’d have zero cases. He said the virus was under control. He said these things five weeks ago. You aren’t just moving the goal posts, you are putting them on a different planet.

I’d also point out we are at the peak (of this wave) and every country’s experience is that a vast majority of the deaths come after the number of new cases peak. The growth is exponential. The decrease is linear.

There was no chance of that. It doesnt matter what he said. I assume it was to slow panic.
We'll see how it goes. The US has more people over a larger area than almost anyone. It seems like we have an extra challenge because of that

What's ver happens, he did act and we are shut down. He did it when the democrats swaid it was too soon. Wouldd they have acted differantly then they say if it were a democratic president and actually acted sooner? I dont know. They are very inconsistant.

Is there even any other candidate that’s viable other than Trump at this moment?  I.e. can actually win , ie. Will be on the ballots for each state and have guaranteed backing in the form of electoral votes?  Man, I really want a rational next president who can articulate himself well and knows the political sphere, has great influence and connections, and knows the geopolitical game and won’t sell us out.

But I don’t see it.  Fucking A.... a Trump vs Biden presidential race is pathetic.  That’s America’s best bets? Lmafo :rofl: it is so bad, the laughs turn into tears quick.

Its only a theory based on what I see, so dont take it as me stating fact. When I look at compartmentalized western European countries I think it can be easier to take stock and get everyone doing the same thing.

We have a large patchwork to deal with. Even if we have a slight advantage in quality and equipment, sometimes logistics seems to cause us problems.

What you said does seem sensible. Im only throwing ideas out there.:shrug:

I dont want to bring it up because it makes me seem obsessive, but we do have a more diverse group to handle. Last I saw, 40% of deaths in Michigan were minorities. Im not making a value statement or blaming them for this. They arent and its not an appropriate time, but
they may skew our numbers

I'm quite certain I'll get fucked around just like everyone else.  Just have to hope that it's worth it when we come out the other side.  Fingers crossed!  Weren't you saying that Biden doesn't need my vote anyway?  What gives?  If you're worried, just hit the phones and build a movement.  Shouldn't be hard, Biden is so electable and all.

Of course he will be, I mean besides the two of them.  I think it’s  2 of the worst potential presidential candidates in the gene pool, and put them in the ring together - just 4 teh LuLZ.      .... guess there aren’t any other viable, realistic, and quality potential presidential candidates...


I think I despise them equally, and that’s saying a lot.  I’ve got respect for them both in a sense, but I would not want either to be my President if I could help it, via another choice that was quality goodness - some prime cut...not this dog meat that’s masquerading as filet mignonette.

He passed the issue onto the state's. He didn't stop all travel only travel from one infected country. He didn't take any real action or even acknowledge the problem as a pandemic for months. Your definition of success is :whatever:

It wasnt done perfect. It also hadnt been done before. I give room for mistakes because Im nit a Monday Morning quarterback.
It isnt 'passing the problem on', its how its supposed to be. People put too much on the federal government. States are nations in a union, not provences in a nation.

Nope. He said we did but we didn’t. People still came and there was no follow through. We let people in from Europe unfettered for weeks after their cases were exploding.

I think unfortunately right now we're cruising around in a car where the shocks are shot, the exhaust has a leak, airbags sensors are broken, brake lines are rusting, rotors are toast and the oil hasn't been changed in years.

Voting in Biden is like taking it to the car wash and then doing a half-assed job of patching the muffler and calling it a day.

The crash is still coming, we'll just feel a little better about ourselves until it happens if we get Biden.

I do hope Biden wins, for the supreme court nominations alone. 2 more GOP justices is a dystopia I don't even want to think of. I don't think he will though, and I would feel genuinely dirty filling in the bubble next to his name.

I guess I'm "fortunate" to live in a state where my vote doesn't actually matter. Well, except for the fact that it means the Trump administration is hijacking medical equipment shipments destined for my state during a viral pandemic and sending them to red and swing states who didn't even request them.
