Haha, if reality is determined by our "Aye" then we might see how our "Ayes" are the window to the soul and how saying "Yes" to division gives wings to a pattern that even in our infancy we might perceive to be the "Lord of the Flies"

First off, Christ was not just love. He encompassed wrath, and jealousy. It's explicit in Matthew that he's is not here to bring peace but the sword. Thought crimes are a thing under Christ. Vicarious redemption too.

Apparently those university professors didn't teach you enough. It's a historical and scientific fact that your religion is false. Why do you ignore facts? Are you that freaked out about dying or are you one of those Jordan peterson fellas lol? It blows my mind how people block out facts just to stay in their comfortable dream world.

Shen you can try to reason with someone to not be hostile, and all the rest, but it doesn't usually work so well. No matter how much real world harm is done, it never has an effect.

Which of the Holy Trinity (Father - Son - Holy Spirit) has your highest allegiance?

Is it the FATHER (the LORD of Mozes' time, JHVH)
Is it the SON (Jesus Christ of Nazareth)
Is it the HOLY SPIRIT (the God of Genesis 1:1)

They are three faces of the same diamond, but which face most strongly appeals to you in your everyday worship?

If you are not even a Christian at all but apply the metaphor and wish to answer it in a way that fits the everyday reality of your personal faith best.

By all means, go at length.

.

the aspects of African [or Diaspora] archetypes/deities fit within certain paradigms that could understood in Western mysticism.

Ghede for example, would be Saturn's predominant archetype.

but the "trinity" would be akin more like to comparing Olodumare to Obatala, no?

It's a historical and scientific fact that your religion is false.

Science and history are disciplines that deal only with externals. The heart of all religions is religious experience. The most profound form of religious experience is mystical experience. Mystical experience is neither subjective nor objective because that dichotomy is suspended and transcended. Either one has entered into such a condition or one has not. Scientific methodology (for that is all science is, the scientific method), cannot touch Pure Consciousness Events (mysticism). I would suggest that you define your terms specifically and know more about what you are trying to say before you say it. Jordan Peterson? Are you a Millennial, or younger? No, the only place I've heard of this guy is at these forums. I actually read books and I do not have my education from YouTube videos or popular media.

Now dreams ARE something that I have some real expertise in, but you seem to be using the expression "dream world" in a pejorative sense to suggest unreality. Dreams are important in depth psychology (which I utilize professionally), and they are centrally important in Jewish and Christian scriptures. The thing about mysticism is that it can exist outside of organized religion (for good or ill). It is also metaphysical, and metaphysics means ontologically prior to physics (in this case physics refers to physis, namely 'nature'). My definition of Reality is a metaphysical one, not the conventional materialist one as you allude to. The material universe evolved from energy, and that energy emerged from what remains Mystery. Methinks you do not grok the implications of what Ultimate Reality means, the Eternal Verity, not a slice of fluid spacio-temporal existence from which we are woven. If you are boasting that you possess a more comprehensive view of Reality than I do, despite your lack of comprehension about the inner world, then you are so sorely mistaken in your hubris.

My professors did teach me much, but they merely planted seeds a long time ago. Since those school days I have cultivated  a great deal more knowledge from those seeds. But learning is merely an after-the-fact explication of THE Experience, which clearly you have not tasted or else you would know enough about the Experience of Eternity not to bring intellectual disciplines to bear upon it. Incidentally, except for some awkwardly cobbled together descriptors, you do not know anything about my "religion," such as it is. These verities are only understood by immersion, not from external observation.  I am a "man of knowledge," scientific knowledge included. You were probably born into a world where you could buy a LASER for $3 at the supermarket as a cat toy. I learned about the early LASER soon after it was invented, saw one at the Franklin Institute, Philadelphia, but probably owned one before most everyone outside the scientific community ever saw one. You may have been born into a world of cell phones and video games for all I know.

Our world views are no doubt parsecs apart. I planned for a career in science, began one with the intention of becoming a physician. Psychedelics turned me away from medicine and to the pursuit of studying consciousness in three academic disciplines. My parents were devastated of course. Even Dr. Albert Hofmann misunderstood my choice in a correspondence with him around 1980. I still utilize the scientific method to which I am no stranger. My home lab has morphed from 1967 to 1971 to a couple of years ago. You might want take your foot out of your mouth before you make foolish assumptions in the future. You know that when you assume, you make an ass out of u and me. I am not on these forums to talk science. I can do that with others. One of my childhood friends was a geophysicist trained at R.P.I., the other is a molecular biologist/geneticist at Cornell, a neighbor is an epidemiologist with the U. of Miami, and then there are science forums to discuss things that I know little about so that I can still learn. The question is: Are YOU still capable of learning, or are you content to lash out at strangers and foolishly attempt to dismiss things which you simply do not understand? You do not understand the implications of religious experience and you sure as Hell don't understand anything about me. :nono:  You do not appear to me to be a scientist either btw. You just seem argumentative without any actual content to argue. Do you have a question pertaining to an actual subject or just vague, meaningless accusations? Do you have an actual intellectual point or just some emotional reaction to something you don't actually know anything about but just want to be derisive, dismissive, or derogatory? :strokebeard:

I prefer to refer to Florida as the penile peninsula of the USA. The Florida keys are like drops of semen, Miami continues to be #1 in HIV transmission and Fort Lauderdale is still #2 in transmission. Miami is its syphilitic chancre.

Lol yes yes yes. Good man. Even brought your personal fact sourcing into the homour.
Isn't Florida one of the states where sex Ed is not taught. I mean where they only preach abstinence?

Also if you tell people to not assume things about you, you should probably do the same to avoid sticking a Florida sized foot in mouth. I. E. Trumpster.

Ok ok, so from what I'm reading...
The heart of religion is the religious experience. Now, we have ancient writtings, modern writtings attempting to describe this phenomenon. They all have a general idea as they have probably entered into these altered states. Our language is so limited in meaning that everything falls short.

For example. If I say imagine a gangly orange. The orange from your mind will be different than mine. That loss in translation is where we can explain this strange experience told about for thousands of years.

Marcos, are you a Christian in any way?

Young man, award yourself peace and resist being tormented by Christianity.

The 'sword' you speak of is in your own side.

You previously enquired as to why 'God' doesn't help you from above.

It's time to flee the nest, take charge of yourself and embrace responsibility.

The very act of 'thinking' is proposed, as a manifest of earthly awareness, to be one of many manifestations of 'God' - which is not a man in the clouds, but a mere first cause of everything.

Thus, 'thinking' lacks only on your own part.

How can we go proving this initial cause?

But seriously religion had freed you of thought and responsibility.

It was a tasty word salad you wrote.

Here is the thing. I do not expect anything from "above" it is you who expects something to be there. You can't prove it but you still go about as if it's a hard fact. I go about my day unworried about my eternal life until otherwise shown.

The sword is I? So Jesus is working through me or am I a lone agent? Seems dumb.

'Proof' isn't necessary, to establish and adhere to the theory that 'God' (whatever form that may or may not be) is first cause.

People grounded and secure in science in the material world, of all people, know that actions have reactions and that reactions depend upon actions, in linear time.

Proof isn't necessary?

How can you be certain of a first cause? Seems likely but how do we know. Seems like straight up dogma.

But how can I disagree with some that knows that a first cause occurred and when the idea of questioning the concept leads to, " proof isn't necessary."

For theory is the substance of theology.
