The thing is, God cannot be proved objectively and scientifically (at the moment). The religious/spiritual experience is subjective. It’s not that anything has to ever be “believed”, although unfortunately that is what many mainstream religions have had us believe for a long time now. The idea that we should believe what some dude wearing funny robes says about God is where religion has become dogmatic. The whole point of authentic spirituality is that you follow and use the tools given to you by a particular spriritual tradition. These tools (meditation, prayer, alchemy, ritual, whatever) lead you to have your own experience, to know - beyond the purely rational mind - that there is a God, Source, Creator, Light, or whatever you want to call it - something beyond that which we perceive with our normal senses. There is no belief, nor proof required, only your own experience and results.

Rationally I equate power with authority. There's the proof, in that my will is subservient to a higher power. Skeptics require a demonstration of power to believe.

A 'go-between' or intermediary such as your yoga teacher can enable experiences that the skeptic cannot refute. Therein lays the proof.

You can prove this to LosTresOjos if he is willing to follow. All paths can prove beyond doubt that their is power and authority if we are willing to be led to find out.
