Mexican Nationalism, protectionism, and Catholicism: what leftists hate * 1

I am starting to respect Mexico more and more every day. The new president wants to help slow immigration into the U.S.

I cheer on the new Mexican agenda. A land of Catholic nationalists who want to manufacture in their own country.

In a way, the agenda sounds strikingly similar to some of Trump's ideas: slow immigration, manufacture in America, and America first.

But how do leftist democrats feel about this sort of Nationalism?

XUL, if the refinery is "state owned" then it is not controlled by free enterprise
and cant be capitalism. All refineries in america are owned by private corporations
and LLCs like chevron, shell, exxon, etc.

If something is owned and operated by the state then it's socialist by nature

I understand what socialism is.

As you can see, the OP does not mention socialism or capitalism once.

I like Mexico's nationalist socialism and border enforcement plans. I don't like socialism, but I applaud their Nationalism.

Do you agree with the new president's policy on immigration and manufacturing?

Is this smart for Mexico?
