No go on flipping the sub. It's pretty moist after the soak. I'm afraid I'd break it.

Just thinking outside the box here...
Could you wrap the bottom of a plastic bag around it, then flip it like a pineapple upside down cake? You'd get your liner back too.

There is a good gap between substrate and side of tub and I did just that but with a smaller tub's lid. I... Could try?

Do like you were saying with a smaller tote lid, then just set the whole thing, lid and all back into your mono... No?

I usually tip the tub sidways and use a book or lid to catch the sub. Then I just let it slide off into the tub. Sometimes it breaks but that's never caused a problem for me.

It's really has much more water in it than before. When I flipped it, it was pretty stiff. Now I can see it will break.
I just sat in my kitchen staring at this tub contemplating my options. Lol. I really need to get out more.

I don't know exactly what you're talking about, but to dump water out of a dunked sub or remove a sub block, I cut cardboard the size of the sub and press it firmly against the sub to flip it.

I recommend hamsters lmao as weird as that might sound, my girlfriend wanted them so I was like fuck I'll let her. They're basically mine now I fucking love them. They want attention but are never needy or annoying, taking care of them is easy as fuck and they're so fucking soft. They're entertaining as fuck, never would have thought they would be rad pets but they so are.

Cardboard is a great idea to tip or move sub. But do you flip and put the cardboard in the box with the sub? I'm probably not going to flip it at this point, but I'm still curious.
And as far as the pins that develop underneath and end up pressed into the sub mostly matured. I had a few when I removed the liner on my last tub... They were really long and tightly packed into the substrate. Can anything be done with those or rather has anyone ever done anything with those?
