Well the cultivator left but the gist is in the thread:
http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/20429745/fpart/1/vc/1
Oster blenders work best, you can find a blade assembly on amazon and attach it to a regular mouth 1/2 pint jar using rtv silicone from AutoZone, the gasket sealer. Then sterilize water for 30 minutes, tiger drop it into the jar in an SAB and blend it. Then pour it into your jars. I do two jars of LI and then G2G those to more qts.
Why did Muda delete and leave?

A personal reason ,
I'm actually extremely sad to see him go, he was among my close group of friends on this site and probably my favorite cultivator in terms of method. The guy could grow his ass off without measuring a damn thing ,
Some of his pics are floating around multiple boards with different people claiming them. We actually had a noob post his pics as their own

Is that yours Shroomer? Cause that's the cutest damn thing I've ever seen
I have options! I'm going to spawn my first GT and Malabar clone attempts this weekend from my first grows. I have Mazatepec jars almost ready to go as well.
As far as where I'll go from there, I have 1 PE plate that is ready for transfer and 6 more that were swabbed with spores 4 days ago but aren't showing growth yet. I'm trying some of azur's poo this time around and likely going to plate some P.cyans and A+ on Tuesday. My attempt to grow P. cambo on agar from MS has only resulted in bacteria. I think my syringe was bad.

Is one antibiotic agar preferred over another?
And don't worry. The wheels are turning. I'm going to create a way with the least possible steps to make a LI for immediate use. I'm going to brainstorm at work tomorrow.

Its less about medium and more about technique, play around with different formulas and find what works best for you and the culture ,
The alternative is to put a drop on agar and wait past the contams, sometimes myc germinates and crawls over the contam to be transferred away later.
Or shoot it into a grain jar without shaking and pluck the first few colonized grains

I have been thinking about different ways to make up LI.
First idea is using a Ninja Express Chop. I picked one up at Target this evening for $17.99 + Tax
The entire unit:

The portion that would go in the PC or autoclave:

The top of the container which also serves as a leak proof lid:

The one flaw is dealing with the electrical portion of this that won't go in PC. It has a port that attaches to the blade in the chamber. Since it is not able to go thru the PC I need to think of ways for someone without a gas sterilizer to autoclave this portion or an adapter that can be removed and PC'd to prevent contamination. I have access to Anprolene gas sterilizer, but this isn't a solution if it only works for me. Maybe I can create some sort of barrier that can be removed at the end of use and discarded?

What do you think?

I'd cover that top with foil and throw it in the PC and see what happens. Is it electrical or is it just the insert for the electrical part? My LI jars go through my PC with that same looking contraption just fine,
I wish I had a pic but it would take me forever to grab them now
A benefit I already see is increased water capacity which aids in multiple inoculations and syringe extractions. A downside is pouring capability, does it come out smooth and steady?
This is my oster:

The canister has no electrical components. The very top does. There is only one part that could potentially introduce contaminants and the chances are minimal as the blade and all internal parts can go in the PC.

Sorry for the cross thread posting but did you see my other idea?

I am trying to think up inexpensive ways to create LI without adding extra steps which may result in contamination. Another idea I had was to use a large 60+ syringe as a slant using one of the cornmeal or alternative looser medias you guys have been talking about. Plug one end with a stopcock, If you don't know what one is--- this is a stopcock --
Essentially an adapter that allows you to attach another syringe or have multiple access points off one syringe. Once culture is clean transfer to 60ml syringe slant and allow it to grow out. Once grown out inject in water or whatever solution you see fit to mix up contents of syringe. Shake- voila.
I ordered one of those blender bottles too, just out of curiosity. if anything, I know I will be able to use the ball.
