Grow 60+ dry grams Tek

This is a partial rant and partial tek. It makes me so frustrated to see people coming onto shroomery and dedicated 2 1/2 months and getting basically less than 10 grams dried when there is absolutely NO reason why they shouldn't be getting 60grams dried on their first run.

Why on earth do people at the shroomery promote this 'pftek' nonsense. I've had numerous friends, using the tek below, grow over 60 dry grams on their first attempts. One of them just grew 85 dry grams on his first attempt.

I know this is a rant but people, if you want to grow 80+ g. dried on your first attempt innoculate 3 (4 to be safe) quart jars of millet and sterilize with pressure cooker. Then let it colonize and then pasterize and case into 50% Miracle Grow for Vegatables and 50% Cut up Straw (found at art supply store). Now take some saran wrap and push your casing down and cover the entire top with saran wrap, then poke holes with a fork for air circulation. Let it sit for 2 weeks or until it turns into a brick. Now you can either let it fruit or apply a casing layer.

OK, in 7 lines I have provided you with a tek that will grow at MINIMUM 60 grams per rubbermade tub. The previous tek assumes you use 3 quart jars, so if you have 6 quart jars, and two rubbermades, you can easily cultivate over 120 dry grams....

This isn't rocket science at all. People at the shroomery just try to complicated things with all their 'advanced' crap... ugh.

sounds good for someone who did there home work but if you havent read some of the questions posted round here this is rocket science to some people
and btw what does race cars have to do with cultivating fungus?

The PF tek IMHO is a joke for true mushroom production. It was in 1995 and it still is today.

Miracle grow for vegatables works incredibly well... I'm not sure if that is the *magical* ingredient or not, but everyone that has used this tek has done extremely well... Check out f8L's grow log from awhile back... he did 100+ dry as well.

Damnit man ! I am a rocket scientist , and I grow mushies . I wasted all that time attaching SRB's to my grow chambers ! I thought it would speed thing up !  :blush: :wink:

SRB = SOLID ROCKET BOOSTER , or in lame mans terms a rocket engine !

i can see what youre sayin. but the pftek is for beginers. its just so you get a grasp of growing. im sure you helped your friends out in their grows, no? most people that start out are doing this on their own with no help but from the shroomery. yeah you can start out big but why not just start out small and in your own comfort level first. gotta crawl before you walk type stuff. not everyone starts out with teh pftek, its just simple to so you can get started. thats why there are bulk teks and alot of other teks other than the pftek.

like george said im sure you did your homework. when i grew i did my homework too and didnt start out with letting just cakes fruit, but rather went straight to casings and spawing compost.

its just all about being comfy. some people arent out to grow massive amounts. just amounts good enough for personal use or enough for a couple good friends. if they wanted to grow bulk they could easily find the teks. for those that ask about growin bulk they are steered in the direction of the bulk teks. people suggest the pftek cause even though it maybe easy for some to grow its gonna be hard for others.

haha i apologize. just ramblin cause i didnt sleep last night and now i get to go to work.

On a serious note, spawning poo is better than spawning compost, no? For yields and potency? I've never tried compost.

Now I have a RANT .........
That is only a myth that bulk subs are for masters only and"NOT" best place to start . Cousin IT started with spores , agar , grain , and bulk sub mixes , and is all the wiser and gladder that he did so . Gives a much better understanding of mush growth process . But for all newbie growers getting started , do self big favor and make the "smartest" investment you'll ever make , and get THE MUSHROOM CULTIVATOR , it will guide you thru the whole process , giving you a foundation of knowledge that you will use forever (as far as mush growing goes ) .
And remeber ...... are you growing mushrooms or doing easy bake cakes ?

What the hell is millett ? It is a bird seed , one can obtain them at feed and grain stores , or Wal mart (many claim)
Miracle gro .... also makes compost mixtures for veggie growing , is not just blue powder you are familiar with .
Straw ... the stuff farmers feed their cows , and horses with .
