My first mini-mono.  There's a lot of water droplets on there, which I'm sure is bad.  Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it?

Loosen your top holes a little, it looks great though

Thank you!
:sambergfive:

Looking at it, I think the problem may be the polyfill.  I tore open a pillow like :hulk2: but the stuff inside looked white and thick.  It was an Ikea pillow.  I'll hit up the craft store tomorrow.  Since I only need a small amount, I was actually thinking of hitting up the dollar store and picking up a stuffed animal or two.  I live in a tiny apartment (600 sq. ft.), so storage is at a premium.

I would remove your top holes completely for a day youre home and monitor if it dries out badly after a 12 hours. If a mist can replace it then you're just adding more FAE.

I case all of my totes though.

Different plates is completely fine, I misread . B+ and Golden Teacher are probably the most domesticated strains so I'm not surprised its faster then the lesser printed Argentina.

I would def clone that cluster though

When I do MS I always do 1 qt, then 3 qts until a clone and then 6 qts in a 66 qt for the reasons you're seeing. The most aggressive mycelium fruits sub par sometimes.

Have you tried casing yet? It lets you toggle the FAE more which I like. Monotubs are mans construction, mushrooms were growing out in the wild with max FAE and a casing long before we picked them :super:

I have yet to try casing mainly because members have discouraged me against doing so. I was going to case this tub and the B+ tub, but I got talked out of it. This would be tubs number 5 & 6...

I was planning on casing any PE tubs I spawn, but I have yet to get a viable PE culture. Next up in the oats are a trial run of the clones I took from my first bins GT and Malabar. I also have 10 huautla MS oat jars going as we speak. I guess I'll case those for practice while I work on my cultures. My Alt7 jars look good, but I am in it for the long haul with them.

Here's what the Argentina tub looks like today:

Weird.. Before getting into exotics I cased everything to gain casing experience. I liked it so much I'm going to case everything in my upcoming grow . It makes a world of difference getting experience.

Mad I have been wanting to case from day one! But I also don't want to fuck anything up so I have been following the advice of peeps on here. Pretty much everyone has said to wait until I get PE or exotics to case.

Lol I've always loved casings. I recommend it to people. And my first casing I overwatered the shit out of it. Exotics like it even drier than cubes.. Pe likes it pretty moist tho.

Anyways you always hear glistening wet with no pools. Casing is more like damp, not wet. Cubes have no benefits from casings besides they're just fun IMO, and an experience I'm glad I had.

Like I said on a different thread you learn more from your failures over your successes IMO

Mudafuka those look great! I don't see how you all get such an even canopy with a MS! Haven't done these cambos in a long time....summer would be a better time but i didn't want to sit on the syringe all winter

This is a tub of Z's mixed 8 days ago. Quite humid and wet in there. Saved some VGC to case it with but not sure if it needs to be cased as moist as the sub is. Problem is going into winter and the heat drying out the air really fast it drops the humidity in the tub fast. Maybe case right after the sub finishes colonizing??

, I feel the same way. I case everything and blast it with FAE.

Give it a shot on your next tub and take off the poylfill and mist the casing once or twice per day, your results will explode . Initially though I'd try it with polyfill and then work my way into no top hole territory if you choose to go that route.

Try everything at least once

Case that and fruit it now, it's knotting all over the place

I would case it and let it work itself out during fruiting. Loosen your top poly pretty good, you're at the ideal position to increase FAE for early fruit development. If it looks really wet I wouldn't even mist the casing layer and just lay it on there to absorb and dry a bit and then mist it as needed.

The set and forget method of that would be loosen top polyfill holes gradually after casing. Both work great, I just prefer the hands on approach :super:

I like misting because it lets me pretend that I'm a nessicery part of the grow. We all know cubs really just grow them selves.

I think the pics make it look like it's farther along than it really is Gyo  I'm still learning here. And speaking of pets I love em but damn these furball tumbleweeds everywhere are horrible! Amazing where hair can make its way through the smallest of cracks...maybe I need some fish.
