That's good growth for a bit more then a week
This always happens to new growers, PE and APE are mutations and thus fit into the Cubensis category but on the very edge. Get ready to learn a lot.
My APE took two weeks to germinate on agar and then it germinated on top of a pile of bacteria on a plate I almost threw away:

Just take a deep breath and start another project, it might even still be done and ready to spawn before your other projects. That's just the nature of the beast
It's not bad luck, it's typical. PE will be only slightly faster.

I would show pics before that but after the initial two weeks I just waited around and looked at it one day and it looked like that.
my temps were never below 70.

Gotcha thanks for the encouragement ! I actually have an accidental project going. An agar plate where nothing showed from APE, I put a piece of tissue from a nice fruit. The fruit grew nicely on it. Im not hoping for a cool weird growth but is that possible?

You never know
APE is finicky but potency is through the roof . You better case and be prepared to babysit that tub. Also if you get clean growth expand it to like 20 jars. Clean APE is a very nice thing to have on hand.

That agar jar you posted looks good, like I said I didn't have any luck putting PE ms to grains, but with a wedge they colonize jars in two weeks. I would take some sterile q tips, put spore solution on them and touch the center of the plate. Transfer to several other plates, grow those out and use a half a wedge per jar. I have had my best luck doing this. Like Tagyo said, not bad time wise from spores, My PE spores took a week to germinate.

That's a pretty dope technique, why not just drop it straight on the agar plate though? Less vector of contams between the q-tip and the spore syringe.
But for shaky syringes (The ones that just blurt out spore solution like it ain't nobody's business) and swabbing multiple places with one drop that could work. Have you tried doing it with multiple plates with the same drop?

No I haven't tried that yet but I bet it would work great, I'll give it a shot next time. I have put a drop straight out of the syringe on agar, no matter how hard I try even if I cut/melt a hole in the center the drop runs all over the dish germinating from the edges and all over the plate.(I'm clumsy and shakey) It still worked out fine but was harder for me personally.

Great fix ,
I tend to just leave my SAB set up, grab a beer and chill for the night and move them in the morning. My wedges used to move around when I dropped them in and it would piss me off to see random spots of myc growth 'cause you never know what's what.

I think I read somewhere that even if it eats the casing layer it still fruits normally but don't quote me :lmfao:

If it eats the casing then it just acts as an uncased sub and you have to dial it like normal.

I harvested about 180g today between the Burma and the F+.
I'm a little tired now from trimming and drying.
Made shroom honey about a month ago, so it should be ready about now. Plan on trying it out this weekend. I intend to give it to a friend for her migraines.

I forget who I was reading that said they let it fruit and it acted like it was cased, or maybe I didn't
Flabber has grown more dicks then I've seen so I'd trust him

Okay... so I came home from work and noticed my B+ tub had even more pins on the bottom since I flipped it and decided, WTF might as well flip it back.
I took a cookie sheet this time and tipped the sub onto it..... then saw the sides with NUMEROUS pins. Half going one direction and the other going the other direction. A not necessarily bright light bulb went off and I did this.

Yep, that's the entire tub's substrate tipped. No fucking clue if it will work, but don't really care if it's a total failure. Just the idea of upside down mushrooms made me giddy.

There's a dude who's doing this right now (I can't remember who but I'm sure he'll chime in) as well as Muda has some super cool pictures of his tubs like that, they used bamboo skewers to hold them up. It makes me want to do it to mine just because of how rad they look, especially with the light source directly above them, they grow like wood lovers all bent and stuff. Very cool.

These are dry racks for my baked goods. The fit perfectly. With the lid on, The racks can't slip.
I'll look for that guy's grow. This sub has been through a bit now. 1 flush, flipped, soaked, 24 hours on one side, now tilted. Hopefully it gives me something.
BUT that is promising to hear other people have done it.

I honestly think those pictures were in this thread, if not then in aaw or amu...
I bet that they could push themselves between the slits so I'm sure it won't be a problem, might cause a little bit of issues with harvesting, but it's hard to tell the actual spacing of the rungs.
My money is on it being awesome, and I'm hoping that you have the light source above them, the dude I first mentioned (I want to say it was stareatclouds or flabber, hopefully I'm not way off :P) said his light source was on the sides so they grew straight out, so boring
