Same here my friend . Bulk does not mean it must be massive amounts , this all depends on ones set up , and ability . But cakes are not the "only" , "best" , method for newbies . It is a matter of opinon , and desire to learn the old school rules . Hell bulk methods have been around a lot longer than PF method . Bulk is much more effeciant method IMHO .

One thing all teks have in common is ........... STERILIZATION of the substrate prior to inocing . So yes you need a PC or AC . Well , some have done the boil it method , but is a lot less reliable of a method to sterilize things .

My friend tried grains in a micro for awhile. He nuked the shit out of the grains every time. He even boiled the grains for an hour before he micro'd. He eventually got tired of wasting his time as EVERY JAR CONTAM'd eventually.

So, yes, you need a PC. Once you've tried spawning poo with millet, you will never waste your time on anything else. I'd say you get double or triple the yield and potency. Those who've tried BRF and WBS + poo will back me up.

So you saying its a compost? WHat's so special about miracle grow? Can't i use some other compost, just tell what it should contain.

Either way last time i checked i didnt see any miracle grow in BnQ

Any organic compost for veggies should work, IMO, but that's just what I've heard.

What I'm wondering is how it stands up against poo.

The beauty of the PF Tek is that it's cheap (no PC required), uses easily obtained equipment and supplies, and it's nearly fool-proof if followed to the letter. It's also stealthy; a casing is harder to hide than a cake.

Sure, other methods give much higher yields, but for those who prefer stealth and economy over yield, the PF Tek is almost ideal.

Can not tell you first hand how well it works , have not used it myself . But yes , in the gardening section of most nurseries , harware stores , etc.... you can "usually" find potting soils made by the company Miracle Gro . This is what f8l was reffering to .
What is BnQ , by the way ?

yep. i saw 80+ dry grams from 2 quart jars of wild bird seed cased in 50/50+.

I thought he was talking about compost, not soil. So, he is advocating 50/50 soil and straw? Hmmm...my friends one experiment spawning soil+manure was a total failure. Green in just a few days.

Good eye threr Beer stud . Yes folks ...... you sterilize grain , let completly cool , inoc with fave culture or syringe inject , wait , pray and hope all was done right , watch them grow .

Not just minors. Adult college students in a dorm need both stealth and economy. Others with uptight roommates or nosey neighbors might also need stealth. I was just pointing out why the PF Tek is so popular despite it's inefficiency.
