Just cause I'm not certain of an idea doesn't mean I can't think it's fucking stupid.  If you believe in this stuff, back up your faith with something.  Make me believe.

Who can be informed on this topic?  It's not real!  A unicorn expert is not an expert.

And no, this isn't like your example at all.
There's evidence for growing mushrooms.  You can tell them xy&z will produce mushrooms and they can follow your advice and see for themselves.  There's no experiments or techniques one can do to prove telekinesis.

From the Inside Flap of "The Stargate Chronicles: Memoirs

of a Psychic Spy", by Joseph McMoneagle:

Joseph McMoneagle is now known as the best Operational Remote Viewer in the history of the U.S. Army's Special Project—Stargate. He was the only Remote Viewer who worked one-on-one with the out-of-body pioneer Robert Monroe, and who has achieved intelligence collection results that have never been surpassed and rarely equalled. Among his achievements:

He described the interior of a top secret Soviet manufacturing plant and accurately predicted a new class of ship under construction—the previously unknown Typhoon Class submarine.

He sketched the location and described the thoughts and reactions of an American kidnap victim held by the Red Brigade in Northern Italy—U.S. Army General Dozier.

He accurately predicted when Skylab would leave orbit and where it would impact on the Earth's surface—eleven months prior to the actual event.

so pretty much all the sources would be valid since they are just confirming what the government said they did.

Without wishing to pass judgement on the subject at hand, bear in mind that it's quite easy to bend forks with your hands - try it!

absolutely.

the guy was just interested in where he could learn more about how people do what they do.

mentalist bend forks as a trick... so far as i know, no one can do it with their mind.

Only way to know is to experience. Only reason you don't achieve is because you doubt.

the reference I saw to it (while not a great research article) said that the government did psychokinesis experiments and they got people to succeed in bending forks

well, then you should give it a try.

the way to fake it is to break a fork off and bend another... then you put the  hold the two together in a way that hides what you've got.

but if you can find a resource to show you how to do it for real i'd be interested in seeing what you find out.

I've got to agree with cez...

There is absolutely no proof whatsoever so there is absolutely no reason to believe it's real... This sounds like something I possibly could have believed in as a wide-eyed teenager, but nowadays I certainly wouldn't approach a sketchy topic like this with a "I believe it unless it's proven false" mentality. It's unreasonable.

Why not though? We don't understand the true powers of the mind, the true potentials of humans, the true history of the earth, and a lot of it is because we assume we know so much. We are arrogant today, thinking we know basically everything. We don't.

I, for one, build my beliefs off personal evidence. I have no reason to believe telekinesis is real or fake. I see the potential for something like that to work in small ways. I am also learning mastery of mind-body-spirit so regardless this will help me find my chi and know my energy

but its testing the power of will, and practicing projecting it

Why not?

If I don't have an open mind - I'll never be able to know for sure

and I don't mind exploring this possibility. It will be good "mental" practice.
