The difference, I believe, is that this ancient culture had been very intune with mother earth. I don't believe its the end of days, but something very positive like reaching another dimension of existence. I don't know the answers to it, nor does anyone. Its all a matter of opinion. I just really think this will be an important date in history something will happen.

Who cares about 2012?  What we need is change now, starting with individuals.  The world is a strange place, and humanity is certainly heading in a strange direction.  I have often felt on psychedelic trips like we are headed toward something grand, something unthinkable.  But that doesn't mean I'm just going to sit back and speculate.  I'm going to learn as much about myself as I can, and learn to live with an open heart and open mind.  That's all I really can do! :heart:

I know this is a little late, but the discussion here is so great, and though I have a lot more reading to do, I thought I'd respond to this:

I've been feeling more and more like something big is on the horizon. I don't necessarily think that it's going to be an exact date, but I think that it's quite likely that the time around 2012 will represent a major transition. I just feel that change is in the air.

Half Life 3 will eventually come out in 2012, what else can it be?
