If you place your top jar at that angle the lid should just slip on and off without having to fight it. Took me a few practice runs, that top jar is CLOSE to the top of the cooker.

Man.. I was fiddly-fucking around trying to get the lid in for 20 minutes this morning. Right when I was about to give up I finally got it. That was a serious pain in the ass.

is the difficulty due to inexperience with this type of pc, or do the jars have to be positioned precisely for the lid to go on?

If it's the latter, i'd be extremly weary of putting that last jar on top.
i have visions of inadvertantly knocking the pc while trying to get the lid off that the top jar 'jiggles' into a position where it becomes impossible to get the lid off. Now that, would be a serious PITA

Worst case scenario: drop it on the floor, that will make the jars into easy to manage pieces.

There is ample room around the lid jiggle the top jar or stick your hand in and ease it around, it just requires patience and calmness.

I calculated it at 36L???

Can that be right?

Your maths sound about right.  That's probably measured from the outside though?  The electrics, water, sieve plate, etc will obviously reduce the usable interior volume.  Big though.

Well, I just got a message back from the guy on ebay with that massive looking autoclave.

I just got the inside measurements. 12" diameter, 10inch height. Worked it out to 18L.

There is two of them though. I might be able to go pick them up. Some one buy them both. I'll go pick em up, and ship you one :lmafo:
