Whats the cheapest deal on spawn bags guys, I know its been discussed somewhere in this thread.

As far as I can see Ann Millers is the cheapest at 63p per bag. Even if you buys 100 form MRCA, etc, its not as cheap as this! Whats the lowdown.

Cue....Base Ickes.:super:

Yeah I've been wanting to get some one to send me some of that easy felt. I guess its only a buck a sheet over there. We must have something similar to it here? I've tried searchin online a bit but to no avail.

I think its thick and rigid like a filter disk.

Baraka has been going to send me some but hes broke as a joke atm.

I got some spare FD here in both sizes that some one sent me. I dont have proper jars so I have to cut them up anyways. With a smaller one, I can get 12 jars out of it with some silicone.

Not sure how many I have of the smaller ones, I think those are the ones that I've cut up and given away.

I'll let you know how many I have in a bit.

Oh and you guys wanna lol?

so i just bought this 25kg of gypsum for about 30£.

I just went to my allotment association shop and they had it in there in 2.5 kg sacks for 50p!

They only had 3 or 4 sacks left, but that would have probably sorted me out for most of the year.

No one even uses it around here cause they its not really a clay soil.

Wish I would have thought of that earlier.

I could have bought some perlite there over winter on the cheap in like 10L sacks for 2 or 3 pound. Same as wilkys now adays.

So word to the wise, if you got some allotments around you find the shop and check it out. you never know what you might find in there.

Hey dudes, this is my first post and im made up theres so many uk growers here! Hello to you all!
Ive been growing for just over a year now and like yourselves have found certain items tricky to get hold of.
Still havent found a shop that sell rye grain anywhere! I know you can buy it over the net but im not really into that, prefer cash transactions in shops. Instead ive been limited to popcorn and millet from Holland and barret. If anyone knows were i could buy rye id really apreciate it :ooo:

The shop "Whole Foods" has little 500g bags for about £1 I think.  It's not cheap like buying in bulk, but it's easy.  My GF goes there for her fancy food and she always brings me a coupla bags of rye

Hey guys, I can get easy felt shipped here in a week or two. I'm trying to find out the specs of it and the shipping.

I'll see what cost of it will be here after shipping, to here, and then to you.

Anyone interested? You can use it for monotub holes, making full size filter disks, or cutting them into small sizes for small filters.

Hers a pic of what I do with filter disks, I can make 12 lids up with a 70mm filter disk so imagine what you could do with a full sheet.

Might be cheaper to get that stuff the cookie dude found? I dont know I havent looked at it yet....

Just discovered that "Gnat Off" is liquid BTI http://www.hg-hydroponics.co.uk/fungus-gnat-off---250ml-407-p.asp

You can get it cheaper but that site has the spec :

ACTIVE INGREDIENT
Bacillus Thuringiensis subspecies
Israeliensis, Dipteran active toxin(s

Might be worth a try.

That looks pretty sweet, I've been killing a couple a day for about a week. Not many of them but there's always one cruising about. Little fuckers. Shame it's not a bit cheaper. I might do a search for other things with the same ingredients, hydro shops are always a rip-off.

yep seen it, allegedly it had  a problem holding 15 PSI its a plug in one yes.

Heres what the seller said after I mailed him bout it;

Quote:

Hi m8, it is electric with a two pronged plug but comes with a U.K plug adapter. The thermostat does work, and I had assumed when I purchased it,that it was a switch it on and walk away affair. It is to a certain extent, but I prefer to keep it spot on 15psi more or less as I dont like it going in the red.It is not digital and therefore does not have spot on thermostat regulation. You only have numbers on a dial.It doesn't tell you where to put the dial to maintain a spot on 15psi and I dont have the manual. Therefore,I keep an eye on it manually to stop putting unneeded pressure on my machine. I used to used a normal pressure cooker for mycology etc,and although it cost me £150,the gasket soon went and just became an over priced pot. This is metal to metal,no gasket. It maintains much better. I love this machine with its personality, and out of all the things I am listing,I am saddest to see it go.

and

Quote:

Hi mate, The heat needs to be maintained to keep the pressure at desired levels. It is this that I do manually. I turn it off at 15-20 psi,and turn it back on for little boosts instead of relying on the thermostat to do it for me because I can do a more accurate job.I can see from your ID that we share similar interests.I have a Hikuri orchid for sale on my other listing and I have Scirpus atrovirens sharing a myco symbiosis which I havent listed. If you have any rare/strange plants to swap, let me know. Its always nice to meet a fellow weirdo.

Hey guys.

Is this a good pressure cooker to buy?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/7L-ALUMINIUM-PRESSURE-COOKER-KITCHEN-CATERING-NEW-BOX-/280572720998?pt=UK_HomeGarden_Kitchen_Cookware_GL&hash=item41536ff766
Just wondering as I want to start doing grains but I don't want to pay too much a pressure yet.

Cheers.

You'll get more 500ml than litre jars that's for sure.

Cool, so I can get the 500ml jars then.

Well maybe then I should think about getting the 11L pressure cooker just to be safe than sorry. Would rather have a bit too much space rather than a squeeze. Plus it's only another £5 more I think.

Cheers guys.
