I guess none of you thought of this..

So you take up arms. Against who??? the government!... ok... where? the white house? gonna march to the white house and overthrow the president? Thats only one branch of government. On top of that the american people voted the president in.

So how would you overthrow the government? My point being is it is so intermingled with us, that where would you even start? The cops? cmon now....

Unless the government grows to where the president becomes a dictator, i see no way to actually overthrow it. Besides vote them out. There cant be no southvsnorthvseastvswest. Cuz with transportation the way it is, everyone is connected.

People will have to march to every senators office, representatives, governors, president, supreme judges to actually overthrow the government. I see that sooo sooo unlikely. A mob couldnt even coordinate something like that.

Yeah that would be a good idea, like a free state. They would be pissed that you took land that they "own" though. I doubt you would be able to stand up against the american army. They wouldn't even have to send troops in, they could just bomb everyone to hell.

fuck risking my life in a rebellion.  if the US continues on this path of revoking rights and economic strife I'm just gonna get the hell out of here.  I'm patriotic toward some parts of american culture (mostly the music) and some of the people, but otherwise I don't love this country enough to fight for it.  I'd gladly adopt another country and culture...  hopefully before they start prohibiting americans from leaving US soil. :cop2:

If theres gonna be a revolution its gonna HAVE to be non violent, The current goverment is in complete control of every media out there other then the internet all it takes is a bit of propaganda to turn it from a revolution into a terrorist insurrection.

A good way to start this would be the take over of a states government by organizing people into a large enough political party that you can legally veto them fucks out of there, then declaring independence from the states, the government would have to tread extremely carefully about the way they dealt with this.

Anyone want to elaborate on my idea I fail at the terminology of american democracy.

The problem in the middle east is their devotion... They could be using pick forks and they'd still kill a few US soldiers in the mix-up.

No American rebellion will EVER succeed unless you can match that kind of devotion on top of being technologically sophisticated.

Antique guns, hell no. Old ass soviet surplus, yes.

Weapons and tactics training, they severely lack. That's why they had to kill the majority of soldiers with IED's and suicide bombers that were promised they would go to paradise with 72 virgins.

But they haven't done anything to stop the efforts by coalition troops to establish a democratic state in Iraq, eliminate Saddam Hussein and more. Sure they kill a lot of people, but if you look historically at wars trying to overthrow a dictatorship, it went rather well.

Something like 4000 US troops killed in 7 years when just 35 years before there was a death toll of over 50,000 just trying to push back communists in a jungle.
