As soon as people started gathering to do something about it they'd be tossed in prison right?

I'm not saying I want to or even think it should happen. But, hypothetically just down the line, if shit really hit the fan that hard and someone tried to assemble a group and fight for their chunk of this continent and be excluded from the USA with violence because peace talks def. wouldn't work, how would the USA respond?


The internet is probably the best tool a revolutionary could ask for, earth at their fingertips. Christ Al-Queada recruits folks a continent away for their jihad.


So hypothetically, a big enough group say the republicans/democrats/scientologists are just fed up and enough gather together to have civil war round 2........ would it even get to that or would it be squashed? How would the USA respond do ya thinks?

Same shit will happen that does in every revolution. People will die and people will be imprisoned.

You have to accept that reality. It may be the right thing to revolt against a tyrannical government, but do you think they will sit by and do nothing to defend themselves?

Yeah, that's why US soldiers are getting killed in the Middle East by insurgents with antique guns, and hardly any tactical knowledge.

Well.. to consider your question you kind of have to look at it strategically. Foremost for a rebellion you need troops and I don't mean insurgents, I mean TROOPS. You'd have to have guys who've been trained extensively in how to use American equipment.

There's always the question of allies though but who would stand against our government as it stands? Not Canada.. CERTAINLY not Mexico. I think the only people who would stand to gain anything would be enlightened Americans and maybe some drug lords from South America...

Otherwise most Americans would never stand against our own government so you wouldn't see a turncoat turnout but more like a terrorist cell that would be dealt with accordingly.

If it were anything larger I think you'd see no hesitation towards a nationwide martial law which would inevitably crush a rebellion.

I think the only way a rebellion would succeed if it were some sort of organized election scam..
but then who's the rebel?

I'm pretty excited to see where this country is headed, not even 300 years old we have one civil war and I won't be surprised if round 2 happens in all of our lifetimes.

lol I don't really see how that's comparable. You're talking about a war based on religion not politics. Who your enemy is really makes a difference in the kind of war you fight.

While America bombs Iraq the Iraqis just get more pissed whereas I think America bombing America would just dishearten a rebellion.

You have to remember... for a rebellion to be powerful there has to be no other option. You can't have a shit ton of soldiers dying who know they could give up and join the other side.

How should we do that? Refer to the US's doctored numbers? The media version of the war is a moot point, as there are secretive, paralleling wars occurring over there, fought by US soldiers and private contractors alike.

But the insurgents are doing one hell of a job at surviving against all of that modern equipment and tactics.

It depends on the situation, though. Scientologists standing up in arms against the government would be kind of like Alcoholics Anonymous standing up against the government...

But under universal American tyranny, the major wild card would be the response of US soldiers at large when faced with the prospect of having to fire on US citizens, on US soil. That would definitely make things much more complex, and also level the playing field.

This but many people currently labeled "terrorist" are doing what they do for the same reasons everyone here is discussing, so i don't think i quite agree.

I'm not sure i have faith that it would be "stamped out immediately" judging by how gullible so many people seem to be.
