I carry a hand grenade and surprisingly most people with guns just back away slowly and put the guns away just as slow

A russian RPG... That'd make me shit my pants. (nice little carry case for the extra shells there...) The only thing I hate about those things is all the burning propellent that flies back into your face when you shoot it. That shit hurts. (Wear your safety goggles!)
The explosive vest would be pretty effective too... I'd back off. LOL

What happen to our constitutional right to have one. I don't ask why someone drives a SUV. Is it because it makes you feel safe, you like the power etc. If you want one then get one if you don't than don't.
There is something that always makes us want the bigger cooler thing whether it going from cakes to casings, compact cars to SUV's or .22 cal to .308.
I want a G3 .308 but that's me.

Why not the Barrett .50 BMG? Effective range of almost a mile. Snipers love 'em. They're heavy buggers though, sure wouldn't wanna lug one around deer hunting...lol.
That is if ya have the extra $4000 sitting around burning a hole in your pocket.

I'll say one thing about those Barretts, without that blowback muzzle break at the barrel tip the recoil will beat the hell outta ya. The semi-auto ones the Marines carry are the shit! $1500? That must be the single shot model, right?

why spend that much on a rifle?
for $1500 I could buy some cheap-ass east european used car, and rig it into a fine peice of old fashioned carbomb. Nothing says "I love you" like supersonic shrapnel from an exploding peugot

notice the magazine at the bottom, its' semi auto, I also have one in bolt action

I would have to say that there are better ways to protect your self.
I can think of NO situation where a gun would be better/safer than a can of mace/pepper spray or a good tazer.
Anyone who is carrying a gun around to be "safer" needs to rethink the reason they really have the gun.
Some situations where a gun is far better than mace or a good tazer:
1.) When the mere presence of a gun clarifies the mind of the would-be attacker.
2.) When the attacker is upwind of you.
3.) When an attacker has a knife and using a stun gun would put you in harm's way.
4.) When there are multiple attackers...
and so forth and so on. Did you really think about this before you posted it? If mace and tazers are such good protection, then why do cops carry both AND a gun?
And BTW, the Chicago cops and the manufacturer of 'tazers' are being sued because the cops tazered a meth user and his heart stopped.
