I bought my PF jars from morrisons. Morrison's brand organic jam's. Even made with fair trade sugar :wink:. Were cheaper then the BM jams from there and cheaper then at tesco. And there were no glass jars at my asda suitable for pf tek. I went for the glass as I'm trying to do everything as organic as possible.

I've eyed up Nutella for jars-from-food - they have larger jam-jar ones or smaller tapered glass, with a plastic screw lid.

They're in poundland too!

Our shop isn't that big, but they had a variety of sizes and shapes. They've also got quite a few larger plastic trays, you can get a couple of those for a quid too.

I also found the tougher 'plastic specimen containers' you linked to http://www.scuddlebutt3.co.uk/LaboratorySupplies.htm for. I got a pack of 10 of those, delivered for under a fiver from eBay.

Also, I have bought BRF from holosfoods, there lower delivery knocks £2 off per bag the the link in OP :smile:

If you're serious about BRF, you can get 25kg of the stuff from here delivered for £38.

remeber u want small jars for brf cakes and big jars for wbs and berries. the biggest your PC can take.

Sorry for the noob question. I'm from the us living in the UK. and this whole not getting rubbing alcohol is confusing. Can I use surgical spirits in its place? I tried it on a camera lens..... That was a mistake. I'm guessing that the gums in it left residue on the lens. I got if off eventually. Oh lessons learned. This is a good thread. Think there is and need to have out own section or anything? Some items either aren't available or have different names.

Yeh you cant really use Surgical spirit unless its the cheap cheap one (maybe) most surgical spirits BP have other stuffs in it.

I buy pure IPA from ebay and dilute to 70% v/v, easy peasy.

2. Whats the "cheap one" in reference to surgical spirits.[might want to answer this for others, I am going to spring for some IPA(sounds Like beer)]

You can buy IPA in Maplins Electronics stores. You need to ask for it as its behind teh counter and you have to be over 18.

Some one had told me that I could get it from a chemist. I tried a few in town. I asked for isopropyl alcohol and they were like "wtf are you on about" :P Might have been the american accent. Wonder if i ask for IPA if it would make a difference? anyone know if chemists carry it?

We're talking about supplies required for the cultivation of mushrooms.  Did you mean to join some other site?  Perhaps you were looking for this one?

Or perhaps you're just too fucking lazy to use the search function, and don't mind coming across like a retard?

Not only do you seem dumb, but also you can't spell, punctuate, or form coherent sentences.  Also, you've been registered on this site for 2 years, yet you seem to have learned very little.  Why interrupt an intelligent, informative thread to publicly declare that you don't know your arse from your elbow?  It isn't witty BTW.
