Helping an abused wife w/kids

I have this friend that's been/getting beat/raped by her husband...She wont turn him in, should I before he turns on her kids ?...

Report it...make sure that if the kids have witnessed anything that you state that.  Have you actually witnessed anything??  If so you need to be very clear on all your details.  Even if the woman will not get an EPO or get away from the man, social services will see that (should see that) the kids are safe.  If there is imminent danger those kids will be out of there.  Social services cannot make the woman leave, but usually if the children are removed the mom will choose to leave so that she can have her children back home.  I used to be a social worker, (worst job in the world).

I haven't but her best friend has..Her best friend has got pics of past beatings/rapes...Someone told her will connected, meaner older bother.. :smirk: Her husband is headed back to Iraq.Because its safer there, then in the USA..

That's totally fucked up. 

Some people seem to think it's not rape if they are dating or married to the person.  But forcing yourself on an unconsenting partner who is saying "no" or putting up physical resistance is rape.

So what is your friends take on the situation??  Does she want to leave him but is too scared?  Does she say she still loves him, but wishes he would stop abusing her?  Some other complicated and brain washed reasoning??

Honestly, if the kids haven't witnessed it or it hasn't happened to them, there's nothing you can do unless she will testify against him in court. If she doesn't agree to do that, no charges will be filed.

If the kids have witnessed it then something nominal could be done.
