A cat that predicts death
    #7235712 -

This is one cat you wouldn't want to curl up beside you on bed. :nono:

http://sify.com/news/fullstory.php?id=14499430

Me thinks now that this cat has a reputation, the moment it enters a patient's room, all vital signs of the patient could haywire, and it would only give more strenght to this belief.

..that cat's something I can't explain!

Really though, it is interesting. No doubt in my mind that animals have senses and levels of awareness unfamiliar to the mass or total body of humans.

I hope they observe a little longer and do a follow up article.

It has been suggested that the cat may have a disease and it infects the patients...hmmm may be weakened immune system of the people allows the disease or whatever to kill them.

right..well of course there is that possibility. they said they found it while it was a kitten and they undoubtedly had the thing have all of the necessary shots and whatnot.

either way the cat is a Reaper of sorts, and that's mildly entertaining heh

I think it's interesting and a good bit of scientific evidence that points to animals being more aware of certain things than we are. Like how dogs can detect when an earthquake is about to happen, or when a person is about to have a seizure.

:yesnod: Truth is stranger and more exciting that fiction.  Nature offers more thrills than any thriller can come up with.

Like the fact that a frog brings out its stomach and clean the content with its hand and swallows it back..urrgh.

I love the story about the cat!  I doubt it's that the cat is infecting the patients.  It would have to be a fast-acting disease if that was the case.    :kitty:

I also heard of dogs being trained to detect cancer locations on the human body. In one study it said the dog got 6 out of 6 tests right (i would post a link, but this was on the TV).

I remember seeing this too....
Some woman had a mole that turned cancerous on the back of her calf,
and her dog started nipping and growling at it - everyday (that is what I saw)....
Sounded interesting, but it was a while ago that I saw it....

I saw the Catvorkian thing this afternoon on CNN.com....
Some reporters ask the STOOOOPIDEST questions....

I've read about this in the local paper.

I think it's cool how it lets the nursing home contact the family members so they can say their last goodbyes and it gives the dieing a bit of company during the final hours.

the people don't seem to mind but I'd keep "man's best friend" around and keep the demon cat at bay
