as far as I can tell, guide is the kin symbol youd learn, etc best with, challenge is who youd have trouble understanding / getting along with, and that sort of stuff.. There was another website about that somewhere, but I lost it a while ago =(

Well I dunno if you mean the hidden guide challenge ECT specifically for you or in general. In specific it may be better for you to develop understandings of the energies for yourself. In generale it goes a little something lika dis:
Your hidden is a 'force' or 'energy' that will assist you but in an indirect way. Maybe a sneaky sort of way. I know that's vague but the way it does it for you is something you've got to discover for yourself.
The guide is the 'force' or 'energy' that all your life you have been and should be looking towards for guidance in all areas. Is there a system by which you often conceptualize difficult things for yourself? Do you have a personal philosophy? Do you have a unique outlook on the world?
The challenge is something which you may be deficient in and if so then you need to work at improving that area. It's not supposed to be a negative thing. They typically say it should be considered more like an opportunity, cause everything else is already working for you but when you get right by your challenge-force then you're about as badass as you can get.

Hmmm, some accuracy... the life question is horribly accurate :X I always find myself asking that question. I play stuff usually around G on my guitar a lot so that might explain that "Note" property. When I used to "operate in my shadow" I was horribly depressed...so that part is accurate. And I suppose the opposite is true, as well... vague, but true. All that other stuff is cryptic to me.

The only way of comparing yourselves to each other that would be relevant is if it were done double-blind. In other words if you start a dialogue with each other with the intent of finding similarities then it becomes very biased (any two people will have some things in common).
I think one way of doing it more objectively would be if you both were to answer openended questions in a pm. Questions like:
What do you consider some of your main strengths, main weaknesses?
What are you most afraid of?
What do you most hope to accomplish with your life?
What qualities do you most look for in friends? etc.
