Breaking up my weed, I remembered a dream.
    #4870642 -

I have this type of reoccuring dream. Most of my dreams are reoccuring.

WEll, it starts where we're all by the ocean. We're swimming in it, enjoying ourselves, having a lot of fun. Then the waves gradually start to get rougher. They start knocking people over and dragging them by the undertoe out to sea. When the water gets VERY wild, we realize something is wrong. There is something coming, something very big.

We realize that a humongous wave is coming. A wave to top all waves. We can see it forming in a huge bluish green bubble on the horizon, slowly rumbling towards us. At this stage of a the dream, a few things always happen.

1. We all run into the nearest beachhouse and climb inside. The inside of the beachouse is packed with people. It seems silly to escape a tsunami by climbing into a beach house, but that's what we do. And the wave gets closer and closer...

I don't think the wave has ever hit.

2. I start running away from the water and become this weird savage person girl. I've spoken about her before. At this point, people are usually chasing me and I am having to burrow, leap and fly away to escape them.

Well, those are the usual dream turn outs, but last night's dream was different.

As we saw the tidal wave forming on the horizon, this time, I realized it was NOT a tidal wave at all, but the back of a huge MONSTER emerging from the pit of the seas.

Then it started to chase us. It was so huge and scary.

That's when I woke up.

But I remember thinking how bizarre it was to know it was a MONSTER coming out of the sea to chase me, instead of a tidal wave or a group of people. (SOMEONE is always chasing me in my dreams)

I am putting this post in this forum since it seems like the best fit.

There's no point of writing this dream except to remember it.

hey, just so you know, a great way not to have nightmares is to start lucid dreaming. that way you'll realize that there is no reason to be afraid and run away, and plus you'll have alot more fun

WEll the thing is, that my reoccuring dreams sound scary (getting chased) but while I am dreaming I am actually enjoying the thrill of what is happening.

haha! Dream-power monger...

Elle, I'm going to be the first to state the obvious, that it seems you have an unconscious fear of something very overwhelming. Something that you feel powerless against....

In my dreams I'm not powerless though...they can't even catch me.   I fly and leap and burrow around to escape them.

ummm well .....

1) how did you "remember" the dream.... it sounds weird for a completely forgotten dream to be remembered in that much detail. Can you describe the memory process? Do you normally completely remember dreams like that out of the blue? For me it's just that I get a few fragments which I can dig with and sometimes get vague impressions of childhood dreams, etc....

2) i'll analyze you free of charge.... it seems like the ocean represents things you keep repressed, the unconscious, etc..... waves mean that something is trying to surface (the monster) and then finally the monster did surface, and he represents something. Now because you ran into the beach house and the tsunami stopped, it signifies that this isn't something that is going to consume you without permission, rather, it is something you're going to have to work with to dig up. It's making its presence known, and its something big.... but it's not something otherwise malicious or impatient.

that's just my random interpretation here.

I am the MacDaddy of Heimlich County, I play it Straight Up Yo!

....I embrace my desire to feel the rhythm, to feel connected enough to step aside and weep like a widow, to feel inspired, to fathom the power, to witness the beauty, to bathe in the fountain, to swing on the spiral of our divinity and still be a human......
Om Namah Shivaya, I tell you What!

Yes, that's common for me. I'll remember vividly upon waking up, then it fades and I can't recall a thing. Then something will happen during the day to make the memories come back again.

Interesting interpretation, I wonder what he represents.

1.)  Water in dreams generally symbolizes ones emotional state of mind.

2.)  It could be worse...at least I'm not naked and bloated from worms in Africa.

3.) I like Picard.  Two bald heads are better then one.

Absense of evidence is not evidence of absense...

"Religion is a defense against a religious experience"
              Carl G. Jung

"So really, ordinary reality is a kind of chemical habit, sanctioned by culture, which says it's okay to use certain drugs, eat certain foods, and have certain sexual behaviors. However, when you transcend all this pre-conditioning by returning to the original wisdom of the animal body, then you discover this immense dimension of opportunity. For some people, it is a frightening risk. To me, that's the psychedelic experience."
Terence McKenna
