The bucket is overpriced - and yet another gimick to attract the newbie dollar imo... My fruiting chamber with my new fan is worth $10 and works sweat...Although, i too am guilty of judging this without spending the $200+ australian to buy the fucker...

If I had that money to throw to chance I would try it out. Or play the lottery more often.

Well, at least your high-priced bucket has good resonance. hehe A finely-tuned instrument or an overpriced bucket? lol
Hey Leaf, that's new to me. I haven't run into that yet myself or heard from anyone else about it. Maybe you should post something at the pod forum and see what kind of feedback ya get there. Maybe someone else has encountered the same problem too. Either way, I'll help you diagnose it there if you'd like. It would be better than trying to help you with it here I think.

Ehhh, I was exaggerating and having fun with it. The bucket really isn't that loud. Asa did find that changing out the bubbler after a while did quiet it back down, not that it was really a problem.

Did you have to replace the air pump you mean? Did it go bunk on you somehow? Or are you refering to the diffuser stone?
If your pump went bad on you, then let me know and I will send you a replacement one, ok?

I'm sorry. Yeah, it was just the diffuser stone. Asa pulled it through the hole in the side of the bucket and was examining it when it crumbled. It appeared to have softened up a bit. Asa replaced it with a new one, placed it back inside and by george the bucket quieted down! I'm not sure if it had to do with the diffuser stone though cause it's position inside the bucket seems to make a lot of difference in the bucket's musical abilities. :3)
I think Asa is only mentioning the bucket noise factor cause he doen't have anything else to do except occasionally adjust his timer, lift the dome and admire his projects and harvest. Talk about automation.

I have the same problem with bubbler noise. So I got a little fountain thing to cover up the noise. Or set up a fish tank in the room or something, cause it's impossible to make it quiet.

My pods are not noticeably noisy, however they do make regular aquarium-type noise.I take the bubble wrap that the pod is shipped in,and wrap it around the outside of the pod and secure it with tape. This works well enough for me.

Boxtop
Bubblewrap? That's an idea. I'll suggest to Asa that he give that a try. Otherwise I think the little table top waterfall sounds good. Fuck yeah.
