Friday's P. Cyanescens finds (Large Images)

From what Ive seen, this is an early blooming patch. other patches in the city arent quite up to speed yet, maybe we just still need some more solid rain. Aaaaaanyways this patch is densely covered in foliage, making for some pretty difficult camerawork, plus it was pretty dark in there. whatever...hope you enjoy! this is merely the beginning of the season's fruitings  :tongue:









that's all for now. Most of those fellas were jussssst too small for me to pick them, as i reckon they'll reach their full growth in another 2 or 3 days. hehe, this guy found me photographing this patch and was all like "Whooooaaa duuuude. Whatcha got there bro?" LOL he hadn't ever found a patch of Cyans before but he was able to recognize them immediately. The kid had long hair and was carrying some sort of hippie instrument (of the flute variety) so I pretty much knew he was cool. He tried telling me that Cyanescens have more psilocin in them than cubes, and that they're not very visual  :smirk: yeah I spared him his dignity and humbly said "welllll perhaps you just havent eaten a large enough dose". hehe newbie. I let him pick a few of the matures and he went on his merry way. "Not very visual"  :lol:

yep, I'll let him figure that one out on his own...experience tends to be the ultimate teacher  :grin:

Wow nice find dude!  Ahah silly hippies.  I personally think cyans are stronger the cubenzies.  But anyways congradulations on this early find, i hope i am just as lucky this weekend! :mushroom2:

hey soularize, i have some questions about your find, how secluded was the forest you found the cyanescens in? an what were they growing on? i have been hunting for cyanescens in federal way, wa for 3 days now and i havent found anything, i need to know where to look, thanks

No need to get discouraged, it's just the beginning of the season. Places are just starting to pin and a few are in full bloom. In a couple weeks you'll have a hard time not finding them.

Very nice finds. I found my first ones on the way home from work today too!

yeah ive spent a good 3-4 hours looking already, and also another question, do woodchips appear naturally? or were they put there at some point? cause im having trouble finding woodchips in my area, but i was told that there all over. can anyone help, thanks.

No, man places the woodchips in certain areas for certain reasons.

Don't bother hunting around in the woods, you typically won't ever find Cyanescens growing there. You'd be much more likely to find them by simply checking all of your local parks.

You really oughtta do some research via the Shroomery's search function. It should get you on the right track. Good luck!

Seeing these beautiful specimens really made my day alot better too  :laugh:

Call me a biased psychonaut, but I honestly feel that the Psilocybe Cyanescen is one of THE most beautiful, majestic, and handsome  mushrooms to behold, among actives or non-actives.

The Cyanescen is like the George Clooney of mushrooms. basically.

I actually prefer eating em fresh from the patch...I almost enjoy the taste hehe...much better than eating Cyans dry IMO.

Soularize..... Those are truly some very outstanding pics. I cant wait until the Seattle area patches are in full bloom I know you will astonish us all with some more photographic treasures. I am going to do my best to give U a little competition as 90% of the patches I know of are only just now pinning. So I've got thousands of photogenic mushies on the way just begging to get in the family album.
BTW what type of camera do U use?
