That's so passive-aggressive.

And more often, the person whose responsiblity the laundry (or whatever
task that needs to be done) should just do it without proding.
That's how life works.

I think the wife is just lazy and unappreciative of him busting his ass all day at work.

I am a stay at home mom. I actually work outside the home on average 9 hours a week. My husband works 40 and works very hard.

I find it to be my job to keep the house in order. Sometimes it can get overwhelming and I only have 2 children. Lately the house seems to have gotten out of hand with the kids out on summer break so my husband will make sure that the kids know they must do their own part of cleaning and picking up after themselves.

If the kids are doing what they should but I haven't my husband will mention it. I see taking care of my family and home as my job so I don't really mind.

doesn't sound like being an asshole to me. I can understand your frustration when you come home and basic shti isn't taken care of. Sounds like she's just freeloading. so basically, i agree with everyone else..

i do wonder tho, who are the people who voted "yes"? they dont seem to be too vocal

I voted yes. You see, the way I see it is, Willma's married. He should thank the stars that someone was actually willing to marry him. And that someone happened to have a vagina.

Then again, maybe it's just punishment for entering the institution that is marriage, of which St. Paul likens to the Church. Of course, St. Paul also says that a wife should devote herself to her husband just as the church devotes itself to christ. Which is really scary, cuz no husbands that I know of are omnipotent, benevolent, the son of God, et cetera et cetera...
