Invalid poll. No Glock or XD model.

Fuck the night sights, get a surefire.

Sorry, if I want something that will explode in my hands, and that I cant customize, Ill just hold a firecracker  Besides, I like accuracy in a handgun

I would like a surefire, but my current 1911A1 has no rail, but the Taurus Im looking at does. Besides, I carry daily, and I doubt the bad guy is gonna give me a "timeout" to attach my light. The only time I can think of using it would be camping or hiking in the dark, lol.

Well everyone is different. I'd rather carry a glock any day over a 1911. I don't know what range you need to off people at, but for 25 feet and closer I ain't missing the dome.

Lasers are the sux0r though. If you need help getting on target, spend the money on more range time and work your reflexive firing.

Lasers let you acquire a target, without having to expose your "dome" when behind cover. And another thing is sights can fly off at any moment, on any gun that doesnt have permanent sights. One more tool in the tool box is never one too many. Also, I dry fire alot, and having a laser lets you see what your trigger pull is doing. And while I respect the opinions of others, just remember this. The lowest bidder is what determines what police and military carry. The 1911A1 was made to handle dirt and abuse. Let me put a gram of grime in your plastics and tell me how it works

From an OIF rotation I can tell you my glock outperformed my berreta in every way. I am however, rather meticulous. I understand your point though, and have never had to rely solely on a pistol. My first instinct is to draw an M4 or MP5, not go straight for the sidearm.

I dont particularly care much for the M9 either. Like I said...lowest bidder, lol. I have shot a XD.45 and it fit my hand well, was even enjoyable, but I wouldnt trust my life with it. If I get the PLR, trust me, it will be carried, lol. If you havent had the chance to shoot one, I highly encourage you. You cant beat it for the price, but .223 ammo is a bitch to buy, lol. Hell, I might even grab an old Mosin Nagant just for cheap thrills

Guns are the devil. My friend had a taurus though and I gotta admit I thought it was pretty nice, even if I am anti-guns.
