Life is like an elementary school classroom...
    #3972347 - 03/26/05 12:22 PM (19 years, 7 days ago)

I was just in the shower, when I began to think, as I often do..
I began pondering on the meaning of life and I found it has a lot in common with a classroom full of children, with no teacher, perhaps the very first day of school.
We were all placed here with little knowledge of what is happening. No one is quite sure whats going on, or what we're supposed to be doing. So, some of us start to occupy our time with meaningless tasks and activites, while others search for a reason why we're here. Some wonder if there is a being with greater knowledge, that knows our purpose. Some look at their surroundings and create a purpose for themselves. Others, thinking outside the box, imagine that there is a being among us, one we may not be able to see with our eyes, but he or she is there watching over us, protecting us, and waiting for us to find him.

...just a little analogy i made and had to share,  :smirk:
please feel free to comment, question, or add to what's here

Wow, thats pretty cool man.
What kind of little elementary kid do you think you are?
Hmm maybe somone should make a little philosophical quiz to find out which little kid you are in a teacher-less classroom.
Me personally? I think I look around and try to make purpose, or just do pointless things because I belive there is no purpose. Not really sure.

Thanks for makin me think
Sam

Well congrats, you're looking, and the journey *is* the purpose! Don't stop looking. And don't be like those kids chasing the good grades, missing out on what school is really about?consciousness-expanding social and personal growth/development.

The part is nothing AT ALL like the whole. Is a piston like an engine? Is a tree like the earth? This type of comparison makes no sense.

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity. ~ Albert Einstein

I truely believe that what you say is correct. But I also think that most people never truely grow beyond their first seven formative years.

Also, those who enjoy playing the most and are the most involved and creative can't help but win in the end.

It is amazing isn't it?

Yep, the greater percentage of people that I have met, for whom I could comment upon, fall into the category that I ascribed to, in my mind.

I'm the one that once existed only in spirit form, that chose to come to Earth for an intensive education in physical reality for spiritual wisdom to perpetuate evolution through creation.

I always felt that most of humanity never emotionally progressed past the age of junior high. That is one explanation for modern society at least . Of course making statements like this makes it look like one is beyond that.  We all have strong and weak points. There are still some parts of my emotional makeup that are at the junior high level. I think the difference is that I recogonize that and don't always try to defend my insecurities by denying them. That kicks me up and out of junior high. If only just a little.

Wow, I first posted this like 5 months ago.
Since then I've had some time to think a little on the matter.
Before I think I was thinking as life as something more of a noun, when in reality it is a verb.
I am living, it's what I do.
I do it because I like it.
