Whats there to debate? I think Astrology exist you think it doesn't. Ive met people who match there signs Ive met people who dont. Its all up to whether or not you want to believe it or not.
I see this going in circles soon. But if you'd like to debate throw some shit out then. Proof that it doesn't exist?
thats the problem you cant prove it does or doesn't so what it boils down in the end is if you want to accept it or not.

If there's nothing to debate then you don't need to be fucking posting here dude.
If your debate style is "I believe it so there", then you really don't need to be posting here. Try the fantasy forum next door.:D

I don't need to prove it doesn't exist. It's up to the person who makes claim that is does exist to provide proofs to back the claim.

Where/what is the basis for astrology?
Why are people born on the same date, time, longitude and latitude completely different?
Why do people of all signs given the exact same highly-detailed horoscope claim it to be 90% correct on average?
Why can't people match their sign to their horoscope in blind tests?
Why do all astrologers give completely different readings (unless using the same software) and strongly disagree with other astrologers?
I had a near-death experience (sans the white light and tunnel). Three highly-rated astrologers were unable to even pinpoint the month of this most powerful life experience.

"I believe it so there" seems actually to be quite a common retort in all of the debates Ive seen in Philosophy & Spirituality.
beyond my belief of I believe it so there im also trying to stress that its something that cant really be disproved or proven so the only logical idea would be "I believe it so there".
What about it do you want to debate? do you personally have anything to disprove it besides your own personal bias?

Yes and guess who's making this retort? People without any real evidence for their claims.
Astrology has been debunked throughly many times in this forum. So because I ask for some real evidence for a claim made in a debate forum I have a personal bias?

of cousre you have a personal bias! everybody does...I know I sure do.
Then please Ice show me some solid ass evidence that it doesn't exist...I have yet to see a debate on astrology where it could be completely debunked. At the same time ive never seen it proven ether. I based mine of personal experience. In the end thats all you can really count on.

Let us assume for the moment that astrology is 'real'. Where does the phrase "Cancers are homebodies" originate from? How can I backtrack this and come to the same conclusion?

That means that alot of cancers are comfortable and feel safe at home, they like to nest. they fit the housewife image. They value it over most other people.

I am a homebody and I am Aries. Astrology debunks itself with it's track record. If it's a true science then it should apply to everyone. If not then it's not. If one needs other proof I don't know what it would be.
I believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster therefor it is truth. You will have to disprove it's existence before I can entertain the notion that I'm fucking nuts.;)

I must have missed wherein you pointed to the basis for this declaration and how I could come to the same conclusion.

However, over the course of the 2000+ years since astrology was invented, precession has drifted the zodiac by about 30 degrees, or one entire sign. Professional astronomers compensate by issuing new tables at each epoch, but astrologers stuck in 2000 year old pseudo-science do not.
This is why if you think you're any given sign, you are actually one sign over. Most astrologers are ignorant of these facts because all they do is plug your birthday into a computer program and 'interpret' what comes out. The ones that do know about precession never mention it because it would wreck their money-making system. Both types of a$trologers count on their blind followers to never look this stuff up for themselves.

At least a possible explanation for the zodiac signs could be, as they point to specific 'quadrants' of our galaxy, that maybe from these sectors different kind of unidentified energies hit us (edit: distorted by the passing planets), which we interpret in regards to the pointing signs. I am not deep into astrology anymore, but it amazed me quite some times But it more seems that it only describes the circle of the earth around our sun with the emanating correspondent seasons, connected to the signs. Badly, no outer influence as far as I see. But of course the cycles influence our life here quite much. How far they shape our personalities, I don't dare to tell out from thin air, but it is surely not negligible. I use the teachings of the astrological rhythms for my rare further studies.

haha, I remember a friend reading me my horoscope. I was skeptical and started to read other horoscopes only to find that others fit me just as well as the one she read.

I don't believe in astrology . The bible talks about a sort of astrology though for instance when the wise men tell by the stars that the messiah is to be born.
I know at least one person who was really into it, like that was his religion. I don't understand how people can think you can determine all these things just by celestial bodies without anything concrete to interpret them.
The truth is things like this are easily manipulated to reach people with common experiences, common values. They do the same thing with music. It's made to target a broad range of people. So many people just don't understand that we're alot more alike than they would like to believe, not to mention there's so many people who have this desire to be everything all at once, vain people who think in thier heart they are the completeness of the godhead bodily.
