Mathematics is a closed system which does not depend on anything.
The only thing that changes are variables...hence the name "variables"

Tell me one example of mathematics being based on assumptions

1+1=48

as 1 case of beer, contain 24 beer, wondering how many beer you got, you add up the two cases (1 + 1) which gives you 48 beers? :P
