Eminem New Video " MOSH"

This guy is stepping on very dangerous ground. Anyone seen it yet?

Straight up "Lets take over the government shit". He may end up a martyr.

I was somewhat shocked at his statement. Peaceful demonstrations against the Government is OK. But his video is basically a call to civil war. :rolleyes:

I don't mean it in the " It's a REAL thing Man "

But if this type of thing is allowed. Then that is what it could lead to :crazy:

i think it's great... it was about time someone made a forward statement like that... and i don't think he is stepping on dangerous ground... they can't do anything to him, just as they can't do anything to michael moore... they're far too famous for that...

on the other hand, they killed jfk didn't they? and the americans bought into the whole story with oswald (sp?)

The funny thing is that the only reason why hes doing it is so people post about it on message boards so he can sell more records. Although im sure eminem sits around with his friends debating public policy, im not really inclined to take him to seriously after listening to his music and seeing his movie or whatever that was.

I guess what im saying is, im perfectly capable of discussing politics without referencing eminem.

think that about sums up my view on the matter.

and a note. does anyone notice the extreme similarities between his new song "Mosh" and his older song "White America"? moreso the beat but it strikes me as very similar.

oen more thing. do any of us know him? doubt it. we know him on the tv and radio...same with most other musicians in his type of situation. dont pretend to know his politics over a song. that much music car thing that was on showed him with huge suvs and cars...so maybe hes aright wing cause he doesnt care for the environment...know what im getting at?

Eminem has his agenda, whatever it may be. It is not about musical talent or lyrical complexity. It is about giving the masses what they want, and manipulating their minds through popular media. The fact that Eminem has gotten himself into a situation where he gets paid millions to say shit about whoever he wants, backed by black rap stars (G-Unit, Dr. Dre, etc...; other millionares), should be a sign of his intelligence level. I am not saying he is a genious, but you have to have a respectable level of intelligence to be rich, and to manipulate masses with your voice, through what many consider "shitty" music and "shitty" lyricism.

His beats are simple, yet they do what they intend to do. If he wants a song to be dark and demanding (i.e. "Mosh"), then the beat will make it so. If he wants to have a "club/dance-hit," (i.e. "Just lose it") to increase his funds, then he makes the appropriate beat. The lyrics just add to this form of "mind-control." When "Without Me" came out, there wasn't a single day, for four months, where I could live without hearing that song (on the radio, on t.v., at a bar, or blasting out of numerous stereos as I walked the street). How many people would get that song stuck in there head, repeating its "stupid" lyrics to themselves, day in and day out. I didn't even like the song, yet I found it in my head at least once a day. This is not stupid, it is manipulation/"mind control" and it seems to be somewhat effective and efficient.
