What's the situation with these "wild" prints. Did someone get a legitimate other landrace sample? Is overlay or something not a thing with this line (mine never did).

Most Ochras must come from some of the few sources.

I've been growing some wild that originated with TF, they don't overlay. Been doing MS so far but have a couple going from a clone, will see how they do. Transkei off of PF cakes, seemed normal- those are cloned too, will see. I have a vendor print that I haven't tried, will have to get those going, maybe I'll get overlay finally!

I think Iโ€™m running a print from the same source as you and getting bad overlay and minimal fruits with anything MS.  Clones are obviously extremely vigorous, though.

You mean this?


In my case, it looks like a bright yellow ring + some indigo bruising (by itself, before harvesting) and BAM greenish nipple. Basic color mixing.
But yeah, if they bruise reliably like that, this could count as a phenotype

I managed to save the 2nd harvest! It was looking like the same outcome and after more air and less air I went for big air with an aquarium pump. What a difference it made.

Trying my hand at ochra. Got something germinated on one of the germ plates I swabbed.




Weirdly only from two distinctive spots. It's also really fluffy, and one of the spots is also really uniform already. Does this look like potential ochra myc or could I be wasting my time transferring it?

Yea it looks like ochras early germination id transfer a leading edge of the more uniform one to a new plate

Yeah, I guess itโ€™s a bit too pretty to be some random mold.  And to be fair it has been growing quite slowly.

Anyways, took 3 transfers for good measure, 2 to different nutrition plates, just to see how does it respond. And 1 to something resembling cabin/sandwich, just to see whats the deal with that :laugh:

The thing that was a bit surprising, was that it practically deflated when I cut into it.

My understanding for most cubes is Harvest when the caps curl. Is that the same for ochra?
These got a little funky because I had to pop them in the fridge right as they were pinning because of a 10 day trip I went on.
