I got these two dried up golden teacher plates I just set in the SAB. I got some sterile water I made right by it. Is it possible to rehydrate and ressurect this strain I found hiding in a cupboard? Looks perfectly clean slightly bruised but dry like a cracker.

Hey Shroomhead, I haven't personally tried this but according to A.k.a, as long as the plates are still clean, you can take a bit of the dried up agar and put it on a new plate. Good luck!

Put several pins to agar from these AIO bags which honestly surprised me. Hat tip to Beef and Ras for the wisdom:hatsoff:

Also got some WBS cooking away. Rocking the unmodified lids :awesomenod:

Getting set up again...

I hot glued this tray in front of the inlets to try to increase mixing a bit, seems to work quite a bit better so far.

I think the moisture in the plate you'll be making the transfer to, should be enough

15 days since sending to bulk. Jack frost, inoculated with agar. 60 lt tubs. 1:2 ratio.

Second grow ever, first time doing the whole process myself, the first time I bought inoculated grain.

Stoked to have made it this far.

Credit where its due, thanks to everyone here replying to all my questions with infinite patience.

Also got this other tub also with Jack Frost, just a few days behind but looking good. Better surface colonization in this one.

Hillbilly still cruisin. Zaps on popcorn in straight coir are starting to bust through a bit. I left the tip of the shoebox uncased just to see how the different parts will behave. I know I'm not doing the right zap tek here at all, at this point I gotta make peace with being too lazy to do it right and I'm just gonna see what happens. Other people have mentioned getting okay results on straight coir so I'm hopeful.

I am out of lids and have a bunch of shit that I should just throw out so I cleaned a bunch of that up. Some of my ochra LCs from when I first started with those. I backed a couple jars up to syringes and made some test plates to make sure they're clean and alive after all this time, I ran this LC a few months ago and it was fine, so I don't expect issues.

This particular one is dear to my heart. When I first was fucking with ochra and LC, before I had a hood or did much agar work, I really wanted to get the culture backed up, so I did an open air josex poke type thing directly to LC. Not a good thing to do, but it worked. Lots of the LC has evap'd and it's just this chunk of tissue that's grown out so I sterilized some tweezers and yeeted the whole thing out of there. Plopped it on a plate.

Why? IDK. Just kinda playin around here.

Freed up many jars and lids, so now I have to do dishes.

@0tonin, sick stuff.
:damnright:

@Rasmo looking forward to the Zaps! They're great to see IRL man.

Fair warning for upcoming pic dump.
:harmful:
I was zuted last night and giddy with the excitment of observing mushrooms- so perhaps a bit snap happy.

First up, Reishi! I mean, look at these fuckin things.
:woofthefuck:

I cracked the lid 2 weeks after spawn and again now, about 2 weeks after that. One tub (Lau Tzu) I put outside, because of a suspicious patch that looked like mould as well as seeing what looked mouldy in a metabolite pool. It's pushing up antlers still but I forot to get pics.

All these pics have been of tub "Zelda" it's 3:1 sub:spawn, and on a mix of 80% HWFP 20% coir. And a deeper, unmodded tub.

This grow has more smoothness to its fruits that set it apart from the other ratios/grows I'm running who appear more hard edged and gnarlier.
And interestingly, this has pulled away from the tub walls some time ago- maintaining a deep pool of water which is crystal clear (unlike the other tub I'll get to soon, who has no seperation from the walls but keeps yellow metabolic piss slicks on the surface)

I don't suppose that brownness at the base is of concern, assuming its the reishi equivilent of fuzzy feet and/or the colour beginning to change to the next layer.

Here's the other tub "benny sings" its 6:1 ratio on same sub.

my fave fruit of that tub:

:sokawaii:

It reminds me of this 90's stress toy thing, you squeeze the bowling pin looking pink guy and the eyes pop out or something...
:filosoraptor:

I L O V E the look of Reishis, they have been really cool to watch so far! Look fuckin amazing. Reminds me of the sandworm planet in Beetlejuice:

I would like to look at them under UV.

Next, my slow semp multispore on wood rich sub is chugging along with a few clusters- clearly not satisfied with the atrocious surface:

I'll verm it up for flush 2...

Then my fifth flush of semp clone "Camel" is nearly finished (although I did have tea outta some fresh lst week :mentos: )

tub floor is spore laden, with tiny pins pushin through:

Finally, some multispore ochra.
I tried to give em as much air as possible but still they noodled up and got bumpy: rather than grow tall or beefy...
Could be a bacterial problem with them given the high amount of primordia it popped out but there seemed nothing untoward about the grain.
:sheen:
I'll be picking them on tuesday for a fresh brew anyway so hopefully the others will be taller by then. If not overmature because I forget how quick these can grow! Then we'll see about flush 2 and what it produces.

Still, lovely mushrooms and I'm glad to see them and eat them.

^I love that type of lineup.

Thanks guys. I grew for therapeutic macro doses reasons and found out that the cultivation felt quite healing itself.

Got the camera out after years collecting mold (how ironic) in the garage.

Lithop: loved the ochras, they look amazing

callmehippie: you are right! I hadn´t thought about it as a fairy ring. At the beginning I was a bit gutted that it had started pinning and the middle of the tub had a mad uncolonized patch. But hey it tuned out a lot better than I expected.
