A couple of outdoor photos.  The bottom one is a good example of how much thicker the stipe can be near the cap.  Also note the nearly black bruising.

A quick bit of advice needed from anyone who has been growing this please.

I had my first sparse if healthy couple of flushes from multi-spore on AIO. The fruit were large across 3 flushes with an equal amount of aborts to mature fruit. I’ve taken prints and tissue cultures from these fruit for the future.

I’ve been working to isolate from my original germination plate and have noticed two distinct tendencies in the mycelium. Of the two plates below which is the “preferred” morphology of mycelium from other people experience? I don’t think either are ideal at this stage but as I continue to work these what should I be looking for?

I generally go for something like the t5 with pans.  What to watch out for though is wispy growth without cords, as cords are an indication of consolidation.  And lack of them could be incompatible dikaryons or possibly a mono.

This is good growth.  And I suspect the rest of the plate is the same genetics.

The t4 I bet will overlay.  It looks like it's over consolidated (like trying to make stones or blobs instead of mushrooms).

Well now I'm going to show off some of my favorite old microscopy, because cellular plasticty in mycelium is fun 😂

This is chlorocystis, so it's lacking some things that are probably going on on that plate (like there's probably some programed cell death) because it cords early.

But this bunching of hyphae is a good indication of what the lightning bolts/cords look like under a microscope.  And it's essentially how they move nutrients once the area is captured by vegetative growth, which looks more like this.  But you can see some cords here too.  As well as some clamps (this is a cyan) and some more typical vegetative growth.

And here you can see them in substrate with India.

Thanks so much for the detailed response. Both those plates were kind of abandoned to see what would happen in vitro if left alone so the over consolidation on the T4 makes perfect sense, though it was pretty fluffy from the get go. I’ve not really seen anything middle ground from the initial germination plate though the clones I took seem to be a bit more in between with the leading edges being very whispy.

I guess it’s time to run a whole bunch of AIOs from the various plates to see how they do.

Photo from 2 months ago. Unfortunately I failed to get a spore print from this grow (all attempts were sporeless). Turns out that this was probably the best mushroom for tripping I have ever encountered. So now I am desperate to grow more but am without a spore print. If anyone has an extra, I have bisporus and komodo that I would be happy to trade.

I'd like to offer thanks to tree frog for all the information they have shared across all platforms for this species specifically and Fahtster for the information on cleaning up cultures. I would not have got this far without their generosity.

This is the first tray of IND01 that I would call a success. Huge, healthy looking fruit from a vigorous culture.

YO, anyone would call that success, those are some beauties without a doubt. Your pics are aesthetically pleasing to the eye... my fun guy.  Excellent job, I need to play with this one... eventually. All the best... in your success!

Went ahead and harvested some of these for a dose and a few prints (assuming they print for me).  The first time I grew these I couldn't get any casing material in time for fruiting and got the tiniest little pins I've ever seen in my life.  I mean comically microscopic.  Tossed that box in the garden and just started again.  This time I used peat to case and got the kind of clouds that would make Zeus start to fondle his lightning rod.  At first, they smelled exactly like playa uvita do (very similar to a snake terrarium), but when mature, they smell EXACTLY like blood.  Pretty neat.  Gonna do a gram in acidulated tea tonight or tomorrow night, and I'll report back.  I'd note that these tolerated uncomfortably chilly nighttime temps perfectly well, and I didn't have to do dick save for tossing a dub tub on top.  Different cultures act wildly different, but pretty easy to grow tbh.  I mean... this was a shitty pinset obviously, but I think with the right culture dialed in they'd be quite simple to get a good flush of.  Thanks again, Tree Frog!
