I miscalculated agar recipe and ended up making 1000mL of agar with ~66% less LME in it than it should have had. And I was sober while making it. Didn't realize the math error until after pouring 20 plates worth and dropping spores from an old print I had found.

Just found out there's a new indian joint in town. That's perfect since the old spot vanished long ago. They hit me with a level of kindness I wasn't ready for when I walked through the door! On a scale of "Mean Mug" to "Hug", they hit me with "Meaningful Embrace" level of kindness. Kinda fucked me up since I'm still coming down. I couldn't match it! So, yeah. That was kinda cool :grin:

The growth will be thin, but low nute or even water agar plates has their use :rockon:

That's kinda what I'm hoping. Low nutes isn't the end of the world. Just sucks to realize I didn't realize the mistake sooner.

It's a bummer for sure, but it's great for pans if you're growing them, but also for cloning and cabins :awedance:

I confess: Kindness can be found.


I wasn't always sure; at times I thought it eluded me. But I found it.

Turns out it can't be bought. It's gotta be made. it takes strength and effort to be kind.

Feeling blessed that I have the energy (and willingness) to put in the effort. And forgiving myself for the moments I wasn't able to seek and wield kindness.

True, I have felt crestfallen in those situations. That's the peril of being emotionally attached to an outcome. However, maintaining kindness is "walking the walk", and those types of non-verbal lessons are the ones i remember most. Hopefully I will walk the walk when I'm tested.
