Yes, and I see the absurdity in your attempted justification.

Active resistance is whatever you want it to be, but I would define it at the point where resistance activity/organizing becomes a priority in your life because it is recognized as necessary to protect basic human rights from government oppression. It's the difference between knowing you can call the police for help and forming a community self-defense network because the police are now a threat, for example.
