Psilocybe Fanaticus TEK - CHAPTER 18 - PF ALBINO MUTANT

That's my picture on page 54. :crankeyclaus:

and I never went under the nym 'anonymous experimenter'.
However, I did give that to Billy before I came out of the lurk so I guess the lack of credit is justified.

I suggest a long debate over which several topics are introduced. Just for fun.

This oyster mushroom eats plastic.  Pictured is a king tuber stone, approximately 9 months since inoculation.

The metabolites are eating through a unicorn bag.

It isn’t just stretching the plastic to its breaking point?

Nah.  There's lots of other room in the bag for that. And these bags stand up to a lot of physical and thermodynamic force.

That's a chemical reaction eating through it.  Mycelium enzymes.

And I knew it could do this, this is just the first time I had it observed this species actually eating plastic. It is one that is being investigated for breaking down microplastic etc.

Because it does do that, and if we can engineer it to do it faster, we can deal with this plastic pollution problem that we have. Maybe...

I've been slacking about taking pics lately, but here's my only x7x+ 2nd flush so far:

Going to take some samples from the big one and maybe from a cluster or two.

I also need to get busy cloning the white enoki I bought at the store. I'm thinking a Josex poke will be the way.

edit - harvested 169g wet, straight to the dehydrator!

My GT shoeboxes starting to fruit. Because of the dry humidity in my house the sub was drying out quickly resulting in allot of misting on my part.

So I put the shoeboxes in a big tub and poured a quart of water in the bottom. Made this tub a few days ago (Pasty EZ dial) because I will do my first mono in a few weeks. Used this tub to get FAE. Works great so far.

Oh yeah, nearly forgot to bring out pics of my all star... :dancer:

Pics from each side, 4 inoc points in the corners:

Closeup:

I got a wedge of Casper from a kind forum member's giveaway last year, and thanks to my poor sterile techniques, I nearly lost it. I have some T2s and T3s on agar, looking good, but here is a quart-size PP5 twist lock that's full of BRF mix. I was vurry hi when I prepped 3 of these quarts, not thinking about the fact that smaller vessels are used with PF cakes to prevent stalling. And she may yet stall out on me, but I'm rooting her on to the finish!

Tridal Wave #4, so beautiful. I love this strain.

Panaeolus cyanescens Burringbar. The settings for the first Martha tent run failed, but at least got some fruit
