Nice pictures. What did you use to take them?

Pic from yesterday.

New toy. Picked up a second hand Olympus E-M1 mk3 and a 60mm macro lens. Between mushrooms, flowers, and bugs I have a lot of little things to photograph.

I love your cakes, btw.

So I had this unopened container with pasteurized H-manure and compost sitting around for 3 month and used it to supplement the coir for a cube grow. All three tubs (top row) grew out bigger and with an overall darker coloration then the 3 coir tubs (bottom row). All inoculated with the same MS-LC.

I always found fruits were larger when I used manure as well but yeah itโ€™s just not worth the effort.

Cabin sequestering is a combo of what you're doing and sandwiching.

Hard to see because Pans.  But the myc will grow through the top.  Can snag clean growth from the top or the sides.

I probably have an open plate upstairs, I'll try to post a better picture.

Thank you for mentioning this, had never heard of cabin sequestering until now - I only knew trenching and sandwiching - seems like a "best of both worlds" technique.  Definitely adding that to my toolkit

I was more refering to stipe, seems like i triggered him with parafilm and Ziploc bags.

Yes, i do everything in front of the flowbox. I open the jars just halfway, then open the bags just slightly. and in one smooth movement, i transfer the rye into the bags and close them immediately.

Next step is inoculating them with the agar wedges and close again. MP tape over the entry and reopen the bags, when they are sealed with the MP.

It's a 10 minute additional work, but totally worth it for me.

Works like a charm and B&S is so much more convenient.

Makes sense. I make lc the normal way, in a media bottle, but then I pour the broth into a thermos wrapped in mp tape after pc cycle. Don't worry, I do everything in a sterile room with a shmuvbox and use an instant pot. I never had contamination in my entire life. The extra steps, increased vectors + exposure, etc, makes everything easier, tbh.

Why is one in here immediately doubted, as soon as one goes off the standard? I dont get it.

I doubted you until I saw this flush. I can see now why people dislike my attempts to help out when they're already getting 11 mushrooms per flush.
