I might try modding one of my tubs. I work away from home so I'm not really able to sit on the tub and baby it to get it right for this specific tub. I'll try at 3x5 and see what happens though thank you.

I meant to throw the tub out but forgot and then this third flush showed up. I do like the sparse but thick shrooms from the later flushes. Gonna see if it'll go four before contam.

Unless you need the room or tub, for new spawn,  and not giving unnecessary resources to (heat or AC), keep it as long as possible.

New toy. Picked up a second hand Olympus E-M1 mk3 and a 60mm macro lens. Between mushrooms, flowers, and bugs I have a lot of little things to photograph.

It was a round sphere with just the center being a gill hole before it split from hydration.

I got the body with only about 5200 shutter count, the 60mm f/2.8 macro lens, and the 12-40mm f/2.8 zoom for just under $1300. Sent from Japan in just 3 days. It’s been a minute since I’ve had a real camera, so there’s a bit of a learning curve. I like it so far.

So I had this unopened container with pasteurized H-manure and compost sitting around for 3 month and used it to supplement the coir for a cube grow. All three tubs (top row) grew out bigger and with an overall darker coloration then the 3 coir tubs (bottom row). All inoculated with the same MS-LC.



(tubs are all the same model, just had selected a different aspect ratio on the cam)


I never used manure for a cube grow before and won't do it in the future because it's too much effort but I find it quite interesting how the manure/compost tubs look different to the coir group. Should have weighed the harvest for comparison but :shrug:

I always found fruits were larger when I used manure as well but yeah it’s just not worth the effort.
