It might help you tell what youre looking at better if you streak the LC like you would spores when testing it in the future

Put it to grain he says...   I fully intend to release this excellent fellow to some delectably prepared oats as soon as the PC cools, or I wake up tomorrow.

This is a test plate, from a 2 quart bag right before spawning to bulk.  I've been fighting a process problem, and I've been testing bags before I spawn them.  Hence the disordered pattern.  I've been cutting the bags, pulling a grain and some liquid out, and dropping it on plates to make sure it's clean before putting in tubs.  It is, as you note, clean. I think I've found my problem and improved my process.

The culture, PAC3, is a clone culture from PES Amazonian, the 3rd choice I made. The whole plate is a monoculture, not withstanding the multiple centers of growth. The plate that went into the bag was probably 4 or 5 generations from the original. This particular specimen is extremely vigorous, hence the fruiting on the plate. Below is the same plate today.  It needs to be allowed to prosper, and it shall. 

So it's easy to grow, and grows quickly. But how strong is it, you ask? This is one of several Miraculix tests I did, because I thought I must be doing them wrong. I have a bag of pins from end of life tubs that are private stash, that you wouldn't believe me if I told you how strong they are. 

I heartily recommend this variety.  **vendor name removed (please refrain from using vendor names in conjunction with cultivation as per forum rules—ty) has a gem here.

Wow. That's strong. 2.4% actives.

Is it possible pins are stronger than full grown shrooms? Do you have another test to do full grown one of same variety?

I think we wouldn't know because not many people are willing to harvest a tub as pins and eat them.

I remember someone asking when I first came on here if he'd get high doing eating a bunch of pins, was his first grow. People talked him out of it with "wait a week, you'll have a lot more weight."

But I wonder.

I purchased some vendor plates, and they took a slow, circular route vis USPS to my house.  I suspect they were frozen/thawed at least once if not multiple times. 

Somewhere along the way they turned to liquid mush.  I tried to transfer some of the “snot” onto new plates yesterday when I received them.  FWIW, they are still slushy after being at room temp for 24 hours.

I know that time will tell, but what are the odds of me reviving these?  They are actives. Just wondering if I’m spinning my wheels.  Thanks
