One thing is for certain, 2012 (or thereabouts) was definitely the start of a new era - social media going mainstream, people becoming smartphone cyborgs, and the new world order all manifested around that time period.

Maybe 2012 was just an approximation. Maybe the end, or some major transformation, are a few decades off. This transformation could easily be a cataclysm. We are certainly in a period of great upheaval, and I think it's not silly to suppose that, in historical timescales, 2012 is a pretty good and close guess. (Or prophecy, if you like).

Just Go With it has a girl that is like horrified that she ruined someones marriage

No stirred up emotions here. Diploid decided to be my enemy and to ban me for the most innocuous comment in an abuse of his power as moderator that finally was reversed by an empathetic administrator. I was just pointing out that he, along with his post are dead. You might not know that Icelander is also deceased (we were 'frienemies'). CosmicJoke is unfortunately also dead. He was a good friend who is sorely missed by me and my wife.
