Yep, just posted a pesa plate doing that but I melmak did it too in the early plates.

Oh shit I just noticed that’s a t9?? I don’t remember exactly what I did with melmak but I know at some point I was getting irritated with it and went back to either a germ plate or t1 and found a little bit of rhizo that had started and took that.

Check your old ones if you haven’t, a few of mine start to sector into different growth as the get near the edge.

Def some bacteria, looks like either that agar wasn’t sterile or somehow bacteria got spread all over.

There’s some nice growth to snatch up though.

Also I'm sure unsterile agar was the problem. My pressure cooker is an autocooker model most likely only gets about 8-10 psi.

Smaller colony to the right on plate looks good

That little column with rhizo on the bottom just left of center plate 3

A lot looks like it might be ok on 1 but I’d prob go for 12-1 since it looks clear from bacteria.


I use an auto setting on also, for mine the chicken setting goes to 15psi. Idk what the conversion is but for agar it seems like even at 10 it would be ok after an hour or two. It only takes 20 mins at 15.

Separate oat jars atm. I'll be taking transfers from these which were from an earlier batch. Look absolutely clean to me.

Yeah to transfer when you’re trying to narrow genetics down.

That whole plate looks like a sliced pizza, just gotta transfer a piece of crust.

Those red triangles you drew are dead in the middle of each section.

I've heard that warm room temps help with reducing condensation on petri dishes. Could I put a warm brick in my SAB while they cool down? would that help? Is that a thing?

Never know til ya try it out.. ive just accepted that ill have a couple with condensation unless i get the temp just right.

Lately I've been doing 3 bottles of agar at a time so getting the temp just right has been tricky... I poured 75 plates out of three bottles and left them to sit in 6 stacks in the sab in my grow room (ambient temp is around 80f) the first stack I pour I leave in the middle of the sab and then the rest I set around it to kinda insulate it... that first stack had less than half with condensation, all the other stacks were perfect. I was kinda scared of pouring that many all at once but I think it worked well and now I've got a months worth of plates ready whenever.

Probably because the first stack would be poured hotter than the rest? just a guess

Is this ready to transfer to WBS?  This is fifth transfer, 2 weeks(ish) old.
I get that there is bacteria, that just popped up.  Would I transfer from the inner, more mature myc or from the outter reaching ends?  I am going to noc 4 jars.  3 for a mini mono, and 1 as a master.  Should I take 4 wedges?  Any recommendations as to where from?






Edit: seeing them on the computer monitor, looks like they are a bit washed out from the background.  If I need to take better pics, I can definitely do that.
