Would like to experiment again, but unfortunately I don't have prints anymore, and they completely disappeared from the lawn. Only grew there when the lawn was freshly laid (carpeting method). For 2 years at most, first year being very prolific. And I haven't seen them growing anywhere else (no, really). Even on a well-known mycology website of my country there are like 2 finds documented, one of them doesn't even look like cinctulus.

It seems from this thread that Subbs/Cincts are exceedingly widespread.  So much so that it seems like a few people are saying that in general, horse manure aged on a lawn and/or in a pile will yield subbs/cints someday. 

How easy can it be?  Horse manure is free most places, and if you have a lawn or a hidden shady spot, all you need is time and some manure.

If it's that widespread, everyone with the space should just go get free manure and spread it everywhere they can. 

The downside is what, weeds in the lawn?

At least where I currently live There's so many bugs and critters about that I highly doubt it would.
Depends on where you are though as all the prints Subfinder made were wild prints and they are all good. Think so far they have all germinated for everyone who has tried.

All I know is in my little snail and cats infested yard I would have no realistic chance of getting a printable fruit.

This is what my outside cubes looked like when I spotted them.. I love shrooms but I'm not going to use that..
